I normally don?t write bad reviews. But we stop here once in a while. It was over $90 for 2 adults and 3 kids. The staff is... super friendly. But last night there was a cockroach in the sushi! I notified the staff walked her over and they just killed itand let the sushi sit there. I know where there is food there is bugs but this was disturbing and disgusting. I don?t think wewill be back. Stopped in for Dinner on a Saturday evening and the place was empty, red flag. We had to pay for the meals before we sat down,... which is fine no big deal. Now I understand why..... all the food looked like it was sitting out all day. The food we picked hadall the same "fishy" taste to it and just tasted off. Nothing we got tasted good or fresh and had to choose somewhere else toeat. Won't be going back or recommending this place. Read more
I'm rather surprised by the poor reviews recently as I had a delightful dinner on Friday! The food was hot, fresh, and extremely... tasty. Even though I'm skeptical about seafood at a buffet located so far from the ocean, it was fresh and Delicious!... I lovethe fact that you pay before over-indulging at the buffet, because when I'm ready to leave, I don't have to wait for the staffto bring me the check for a preset price, and can just leave. This was a pretty rough place. Multiple dishes tasted like they had been sitting out a long while (it's a weekend so that... shouldn't be). There was a lack of variety, and of the 20-30 things we did try all but maybe 5 of them were unpleasant in oneway or another. Finished out the meal with some regular chocolate ice cream, which at the end had something pretty crunchy init. I was eating out of a BOWL. I put the thing on a napkin and it was clearly not ice cream, but something else, maybe fried?Either way, don't plan to go back again. Read more
I began eating at JA Buffet in recent months after a coworker repeatedly raved about the place. I visited for the first time on... a Sunday afternoon around 1:00 p.m. I thought it was amazing and I especially liked the coconut chicken. That is what mycoworker highly recommended. I returned to eat there again several times on Sundays for lunch and every time was absolutelydelicious. The selection is very good and the food was very fresh and refilled while I was there. I rave about the coconutchicken to people as my coworker raved to me. There are foods on the buffet not found elsewhere such as the crab cups. I travel30 minutes to eat there and fortunately I have never been disappointed. I am now a self declared coconut-chicken-a-holic. Need to change menu more often. Salad bar needs more work. Desserts and fresh fruits need changing. No. Strawberries, Lychee. No... Fried Oysters. No longer have grilled meats near Sushi. Server May is very friendly and great with customers. Love the place,but needs more change on salad bar. Read more
I?m so sick of restaurants giving real people fake food!!! This place is horrible food left out over the allotted time,... tasteless and just seems fake. Whoever your food vendor is get rid of them now!! Luckily I?m a trucker and just stopping throughbut they don?t deserve the people of that town and their money, if this is the quality of food being served. What happened to this buffet???? Ownership has totally given up because they obviously don?t have quality control at all! The... fried dumpling?s were steamed but were tough like an over cooked steak. All the chicken dishes tasted like they were microwaved.My kid loves French fries and he said you could stick build a shed with them. For what we got charged, I won?t be back, EVER Read more
