Has to be the best pho in the area. Coming from Toronto, we have a vast selection of Pho restaurants so you develop a taste for... what's good and not. My family of 10 all said the food was the best Asian meal we had while in the east coast. Pho and bun bohue were authentic. Would be nicer if there was more meat in the dish but great overall. Will visit again if I'm back in theAtlantic. Read more

Place was packed when I entered the restaurant, and I was not disappointed. Food was good, prices were reasonable, and staff... were friendly. Service was a bit slow since it was a full house, but I knew that when I got a table. That said, if you'relooking for a quick bite, this may not be for you. However, you won't be disappointed if you're willing to wait! I had the phospecial and my wife the pork BBQ combo. The pho special had steaming hot both, which was light and flavorful. There was alsoplenty of meat which was more than enough to make me very full at the end. The pork in the BBQ combo was cooked well and hadplenty of flavor as well. The spring roll was tasty and not oily at all. Both dishes definitely hit the spot for us and we werehappy with our meals. I highly recommend this place and if I ever travel to Halifax again, I'd check it out again! Read more

I came by Pho Maniac quite by chance. I had been talking about Pho with a friend the night before, and after peeking in the... window I decided to have an early lunch. The interior is spotless and the staff friendly. Making a decision on what to order wasnot easy. I finally decided on the vegetarian spring rolls and the beef Pho. Excellent choices. First came the spring rolls, perfectly cooked, with a delicious dipping sauce. Then, the Pho. I added the plump bean sprouts, basil, and fresh red chilli. Icould not have been happier. The broth was rich and flavourful, and the meat was cooked perfectly. The flavours took me back tothe first time I experienced Pho in a little hole in a wall restaurant in downtown Hanoi! I asked the owner about the beansprouts ? Do you grow your own? He told me no, but gets them from a farm 40 minutes from the city. They were so plump and juicy.Nothing like what is on offer in the grocery store. I was very impressed with their attention to detail. Don?t hesitate toexperience the food here. Friendly staff, too! What a great find! I've had Pho all over the world (not in Vietnam, I concede) and this was definitely more than passable. Good... flavours without having to douse it in sriracha or hoisin. Only wish they provided basil on the side too apart from thetraditional sprouts and lime. The other dishes we had were all really great, especially the fried banana and ice-cream dessert!Very good grilled meats. Good coffee too. Highly recommended. Read more

Red Satay Restaurant has delicious food and great service. I ordered the pho with tender beef and my partner ordered the... vermicelli. We received 3 complimentary hot spring rolls with dipping sauce and that was a great start to the meal. The phobroth was savoury and didn?t require any additional seasoning and the portion was just right for one person for the regular. They do have the large size for anyone looking to have more noodles and meat. The vermicelli with bbq was also so good with thesauce. Prices were reasonable and good portions. Overall, a great meal and Red Satay has become our go-to restaurant forVietnamese food in the city.
