Large piece of fish and lots of perfect home made fries. Thin beer batter on the fish but more fish than batter. One order had... two pieces of fish because one was a bit smaller than the usual size. Grabbed the lobster roll, received maybe 2 small pieces of lobster; it was mostly bread and lettuce. My partner enjoyed their... chicken strips and fries, but I felt cheaped out on the lobster roll. At least it came with fries. Read more
Great spot for fish and chips!! The fish was the highlight of the plate hands down but I've been told that their sweet potato... fries are especially good. I wouldn't recommend eating their as it is a bit cramped but other then that everything was great. Read more
Visiting from another province and took a gander to stop here for a late lunch and wow, I am speechless at the fish and chips... they serve here. The size of the fish was very generous that they don't mess around and the pound of fries that come with it washeaven galore in the carb world. Would come back here again anytime and if I'm by myself again, I'd order just one (1) piece offish and chips, not 2 cause holy moly was it massive in food quantity. This is the oldest Fish and Chips joint in Halifax and has a very British style charm to it. In fact, the owner has a British... accent! It is a simple setup and has a homely feel; Mom and pop style. The fish pieces are HUGE and DELICIOUS. Very impressed.And the prices are excellent. I also liked the curry sauce that comes with it. Very similar to how it?s served in England. If you're looking for a... meal that is above and beyond normal portion size, And great bang for the buck! Then you have to try fries and Company! Thefish and chips, their hamburger platters, and Seafood Combo's are all great items to check out, !
