2stars means edible but not great We ordered tempura, rolls, and some nigiri. The tempura was okay, but the shrimp were quite... soggy. The rolls were again okay, but not impressive. Oddly, the tempura shrimp inside my roll was not soggy. Nigiri was alsookay, but not amazing. At a lower price it would be three stars. They also need to figure out what's going on in their one andonly bathroom, because it smells like sewer fumes are backing up into the building. Read more

Ngiri wasn't very good. Fish didn't seem fresh or high quality.

We both got the Chirashi Don (sashimi over rice). The fish was very fresh. Be sure to taste the decorative leaf - it's a... japanese herb with a strong, unique flavor. The chirashi overall compared well with others I've had, and the waitstaff wasfriendly. There were a few funny little quirks, like them confirming outdoor seating over the phone (they don't actually haveit, language barrier maybe?), they brought orange ramune soda after I had ordered melon (maybe they were out of that flavor,they didn't acknowledge it and I didn't ask, I was happy to have orange instead), and the chirashi didn't come with wasabi (weasked and got it promptly). Good, C+. Don't know if they've gone downhill after the pandemic, or if is a one off. But the rice, the pivotal ingredient in... sushi, was dry and flavorless. It tasted old, and was tacky rather then sticky. All the rolls tasted off because of it. I don'tremember it being this meh. Please get better. Incredible!!! The sushi is soooo fresh and the service is amazing. We stumbled on this restaurant and WHAT A FIND!!! We had... Mochi for dessert. It was also wonderful.
