This is some of the best shaved ice that I have had on island? similar feel to some little shacks in Honolulu. It?s very... delicious, it?s a great price too, and it?s located in a cute little plaza with other eateries and shops. The customer servicewas great, and everyone was polite even while busy. I knew I?d need to try Shave Ice during the trip but did not expect it to be this good? wow!!! Matsumoto is tagged for being the... best in Hawaii and fully deserves its reputation. Reasonably priced too at $5 for a medium size with condensed milk - similarfound for $6-9 in Waikiki. Cool shop with some nice merchandise. As expected you need to queue but it moves fairly quickly. Simple but perfect. We were sent here at the suggestion of our local friends and we loved the flavors. We just got the basic... shave ice with 3 flavors with mango, guava and lime. Each flavor was distinct and refreshing. Service was lighting fast. Fromline to order to pick up, it was 3 minutes. For two small orders, cost was about $7, which surprised the hell out of meconsidering other places charge 2 to 3 times as much for the same. Great little area to sit an enjoy it as well. First, I do have to mention that I opted for all of the sugar-free flavors which all tasted like one flavor. How does 3... different flavors taste the same? The shave ice is nothing special. I really feel like no matter what shave ice place I go to inHawaii I wouldn't enjoy it. It's like spam and rice all 3 are overrated. There is always a line here but it moves really fast. I had the rainbow with all the extras in it. I think that?s how one should... order. I love the extra stuff. It costs more but you get to elevate your shave ice experience. I really like the mochi and thebeans. I wish I tried other flavors besides the rainbow flavors. My husband tried the lilikoi, coconut and pineapple. I wouldn?tsay this is the best shave ice we?ve had but it?s a great place to have shave ice since they offer so many different flavors andextras.
