This place is absolutely garbage! For soooooooo many reasons..... FOOD was so bland not even salt and pepper SERIOUSLY!? Veggies... not seasoned the Tortillas weren't cooked taste like they pull it out a microwave and threw it in foil... 18% gratuityautomatically so serves don't care to check on you or ask you for refills... I paid 103 dollars for my family and I to eat and Inibbled on a piece of chicken and piece of the steak and I couldn't finish it.... We took 2 full to go plates and took it homeand seasoned the food and ate it... I DONT recommend this place at all.... Oh they have Mexican Coke in a glass bottle... Simple place.not fancy. But the staff is pleasant and the food is fresh and steaming hot. Pretty authentic.
After passing Tortilleria La Mexicana many times ony way home from work, I decide on my next day off to pay Tortilleria La... Mexicana a visit. After all, Tortilleria La Mexicana is within walking distance from Lake Eva... (another of Haines City'sgems). I arrive and park in the well lit and spacious parking lot. The outdoor seating is tempting but the over cast suggest anindoor experience. I arrive inside and immediately met with warm smiles and an invite to self seat. The menu Is brought over andI order a Modelo amd tacos. I sampled the pork (both types) and pollo. I also had the rice and beans. The Taco's are deliciousand fresh. The rice and beans brown beans are standard and tasty. The desert is really moist and soothes. The wait staff isabsolutely amazing. Smiles and yes's are all they serve here at Tortilleria La Mexicana. I will definitely be back to samplemore from Tortilleria La Mexicana. I've been dying to go to this restaurant for a while and my husband and I on a whim went in and let me just say it was amazing!... Start to finish! The atmosphere, the staff, and the food , we're all perfect! My new favorite spot ! Will definitely be backmany more times! Maria couldn't have been a better server! My husband had chicken and steak fajitas which were amazing (Isampled ????) I had the combination platter of chile relleno and tostada was shredded beef and ground beef... Nothingdisappointed.
