This was my second time coming to this location, staff is alright (not particularly nice, but aren?t mean either) both times I... was here the soda was watered down and at first I thought maybe that one was getting low. Nope, all three drinks we got werewatered down. We saw the guy behind the counter watching the employee like a hawk while he weighed everything, then we got oursubs and realized they skimped on everything. Had like five bits of mushroom across my entire sub. So that and the soda thingreally makes it look like they skimp on everything and frankly for me personally, I rather go to another location because thisis the only one I?ve been to that seems to be skimping on stuff. I rather go spend the same amount at a different location andactually get what I paid for ya know? Read more

I walked in to the restaurant at 11:30. Instead of the staff taking orders, they were preparing food. I guess at firehouse subs,... online orders are done first. 25 minutes waiting for someone to take my order + 10 minutes for sandwich. The hero sandwich washorrible. Will be my first and last time here Read more

I came in to the store with a 1/2 hour until closing order the simple multi cold cut sandwich I even made a comment to the... employee that I was sorry I came in towards closing. They laughed and told me it was no problem at all. When I left the storeand got home unwrapped the sandwich it was a brick it was uneatable. The bread was so stale you couldn't bite into it. But Ishould have known not to go to one of these fast food deli's and go support a local mom and pop deli. Read more

Hadn't been to a Firehouse in quite awhile, and I can't remember why as I really enjoyed my sandwich on this vist. The star of... the vist was the Firehouse cherry/lime soda, this alone was worth the trip. Could've easily gotten another half star, but theywere out of pickles, so I had to deduct something, I mean no pickles at a sandwich shop tsk. . .take. . .tsk! Read more

I was in the Hackensack area today and my husband and I was looking for a good sub shop. We googled and found firehouse subs. ... I explained that this was my first time and the cashier suggested the Cajun chicken sub. It was horrible. It was slappedtogether with rubbery chicken, some lettuce and dozed in hot sauce . It was not good and I will never buy their subs again Ifyou are looking for a good sub avoid this one . Read more

Pleasant place to eat. A bit slow to prepare, but they have a Coke Freestyle machine, plus the sandwich can come with a side... salad option, and the salad was much better than I expected (fresh but not too fancy). Read more

This place gets a decent mark, on the sliding scale of franchise sub shops. Way above the strict portion control of Subway, and... just edging out Blimpies. But sorry, Jersey Mike's has them beat. In all the other chains, you can see the sub being made. Why there's a high barrier preventing that at Firehouses is beyond me. This location is right next door to a full fledgedpizzeria that makes all kinds of sandwiches. I've gone to this Firehouses about a dozen times, and after a confession by anervous counter girl last year, I'm convinced it's policy to short the customer the pickle slice in the evenings when supplymight run low. I just went tonight, ordered two subs with everything, and on purpose did not bring that up. Sure enough, bothsubs were absent the pickle. You can save the owner's schmoozing reply on here - its a minor but unnecessary trick. Just havemore on hand if you keep running short. Read more
