Reviews for Bonanza Colombian Delights in Hackensack, NJ
All their food is frozen and warmed up. I ordered calentado and it came cold and it tasted bad. My father also found a rock in... his meat. When we told the waiter the food was cold all they did was warm it up in the microwave. The only good thing is theirdrinks and bakery other then that I wouldn?t ever recommend dining in and eating a full meal their. Paid $110 just to not likethe food, Overpriced frozen food. Read more

I loved the food, great variety on the menu and very nice place.
Not coming back here. I usually do not post things like this but what happened today it?s just infuriating. I?m not gonna... comment on food taste and quality, which is not the greatest, but the fact that I ordered a plate and got something completelydifferent just ruined my night. I ordered a Bonanza Bowl which is supposed to come with chicken, rice, avocado and friedplantain. Instead I got a plate of rice, lettuce, corn, tomato, onions, some green plantains and a slice of avocado?. This plateis nothing remotely close to any bowls they have on the menu. Why are these other ingredients I did not order and do not eat inthe plate. And most important where is the chicken? I honestly feel that they didn?t have what I order and instead just gave mewhatever left over ingredients they had available without notice. This is just un aceptable, spent $12.95 just on a plate thatwent to waste with the exception of the plantains and avocado that I ate. Definitely do not recommend this place Read more
Nice place to come and eat. I like the overall look and ambiance. Everything looked cleaned and the staff was nice. First time... here and my family and I liked it and would like to eventually return. Seems like there's colombian restaurants popping upeverywhere lately. There's 2 noches, pollos mario, 3 colombian bakery factories in my area so I got options. What I like aboutBonanza is that it's more relaxing. Sometimes the other ones get really busy and gets loud and little hectic. Would like to comeback and see how it is on a busy night. Food was on average with other colombian places. I ordered carne molida and while itwas good, I've had better. Yuca frita was kinda mushy but not bad. The carne encebollada only came with 1 side which I thoughtwas weird. Usually you get 2 in other places. I did taste it and I really liked it. The portions were big and none of us lefthungry. For 3 people with 3 sodas bill was like $70 without tip. Read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Terrible and overpriced, decided to give this one a try since my favorite Colombian spot was... closed. Worst decision ever. You could smell the rancid oil, the empanadas had no seasoning just giant potatoes with bits ofchicken. The Morcia had a weird taste probably the same old oil, it was sooooo dry and mainly just rice. Lastly, I wouldn?t evencall those arepas ? they were a yellow dough stuffed with cheese, if you?re a true Latino you can tell from the pic alone thatit was not an arepa. So disappointing!! Read more
The staff is very friendly. I really like the desserts/snacks from the bakery side. My favorite weekend food is the mondongo... soup, it's a meal by itself. The fresh juices are so delicious. Still working my way through the menu, but enjoying thevariety so far. There's parking in the back which I've yet to use because I've been lucky so far to park in front, but in theback it's free.
