Very nice restaurant in an old railroad depot. Menu had lots of options and was reasonably priced. Had the KC Strip and it was... honestly one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Came our a perfect medium with a nice crust all the way around. Sidedishes were great as well. My wife had the crab stuffed Salmon and she raved about that as well. We just left there and it was great. Our server Cheyenne was incredible and the food was awesome. I had a huge burger and my... wife had the chicken sandwich. They were both very very good. The decor and atmosphere was top notch. We are in town for ananniversary get away and Gages came highly recommended by several locals, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did. Read more
I had planned a special weekend. We were going to the OSU basketball game and on the way home the plan was to slip off the... highway for fine dining. The restaurant was easy to find. It is in a historic old train depot and trains rumble by at intervalso if your dinner conversation stalls you can always throw up a question about "Where do you suppose that train is going?" or"Did you see that graffiti?" But seriously, from the hostess to the waitstaff to the Owner, everyone made it a special event.The steak Delmonico is their specialty! We had shrimp cocktail and shrimp bisque then ribeye with twice baked potato, asparagus and carrots folowed by a peanut butter torte and double chocolate dipped strawberries!!! Really exceptional spot. Our service was awesome and the food was tremendous. Great place for celebrations or just a good drink... at the bar. The depot energy was also really neat. Somewhat pricey, but a great location and solid food. It wasn?t the greatest steak I?ve ever had, but I will say that it is the... best restaurant I?ve found in Guthrie. The service was great, shout-out to Mike, but the food wasn?t super impressive for theprice. My sides were all a bit cold, but the steaks were cooked perfectly and the dessert was fantastic! INCREDIBLE. Just went here for our anniversary. The food was incredible. My husband got the ribeye and I had the salmon.... Everything was cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The twice baked potatoes are to DIE FOR. And the dessert!? The CrèmeBrûlée was the best I ever had and I still cant stop thinking about it. Love this steakhouse!
