We came in for dinner this evening and had an amazing time! Our waiter Don was so tentative and fun. He had a little competition... with my brothers and indulged in their love of spicy food. The food was good. Chili relleno was on par and something to order again. The super burrito was not as super (large) as I... thought it would be. It almost looked like an enchilada. I also ordered it with shredded beef but it came out with ground beef.Not worth the hastle of sending it back. The fresh lime margaritas IMO are not worth the $14.50. We had a young Server we just got into town from Arizona I ordered to Taco and enchilada the enchilada sauce is out of the can... the poor kid kept getting yelled at for talking to us and trying to make his tips when there?s no other customers for him toserve my chicken meat was bland and shredded mushy The El Pastor was flavorless and hard the salsa was a mix of can and pastetasting not worth the money also I am not a fish eater and it made half my food ruined instead of fixing it we were not allowedto talk to much to the server! Small restaurant nestled in a strip mall off the main drag in Gunnison. Food was mediocre but I probably threw them a curveball... by ordering vegetarian. Veggies were oozing butter. Depending on who one may talk to that could be a good thing but it was offputting for Mexican cuisine. Very friendly staff however and full offerings of adult beverages. Agave is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the US, topped only by the many great restaurants that I visited in Mexico. The food... is delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy yet festive. The staff are very hospitable. I have been there several times and willkeep coming back. Read more
