The restaurant is unfortunately not doing well. And the price of the food for the quality of the food is yo high. We liked it... when it first opened but it has since gone downhill. I only ate a small amount of my food and ended up throwing the rest away. The person working was nice but seemed to be the only person working. Read more

Our first time at captain D?s in mabank Tx n it was a bad experience we spent more the $30 dollars for burnt food n tasteless... not only that but one table we we?re going to sit at was dirty n the seats.. N the employees that were there were just sittingdown on their phones or outside in their phones.. Instead of cleaning up so customers can eat in a clean restaurant.. N thesmell omg it smelled inside like sewage.. This experience makes me not to go to any other Captains D?s restaurant ever.. I?venever experience this at any other restaurant.. Read more
During lunchtime we ordered fish & fries and fish and shrimp with two drinks. The meals were delivered to our table without the... drinks. The fish and shrimp meal was delivered without shrimp, which we received after asking, and the Mac & cheese side wasroom temperature, not hot. They gave us another order, but it was also not hot. Very disappointed with my meal. It looked as if the fryer was dirty and just threw the fish in it. Top of that i waited for... quite some time. To top off this bad experience the cashier told me it was taking a while because they had to do everythingfresh since it was closing time. I'm sorry but I'm in the restaurant industry too and don't matter if is the last guest of theday food standard should be the same as the first guest that day. Read more
Delicious food we have been twice so far!!! Good for a family on a budget. We did choose to dine in. Ended up with extra drinks... by mistake the trip was worth the visit. I will continue to visit in the future. The staff was super friendly so that always ishelpful. Read more
Stopped in because it says it was under New Management. Ordered through drive-thru: one piece of Fish and the Two piece of... Chicken. As a side I ordered the Funnel Stix. * outside area clean and kept nicely *. service was great * Drive-thru person waspolite, friendly, full of smiles * Chicken tasted great * Fish did not taste great to me, my fur-baby loved it (idk it could beme... I have Chronic Covid and my tastebuds keep deciding to go weird..so it genuinely could be that) * Funnel-Stix were OUT OFTHIS WORL AMAZING *price? well, the almost $3 medium cola was a surprise to me, the total bill was a little over $13. IDK ifthat is a good price or not. It seems in line with say.. McDonald's or BurgerKing when I have gone there within the past 45days and a sandwich, fry and drink is about $11-$12 a person. * the image posted shows my hand... about 6 inches from middlefinger to base of the hand. the fish is the plank on the farthest from the hand, the other two are the chicken pieces. FinalSTRANGE NOTE.... I called the Store as listed and... it went to another Captain D's in a different state. That manager told metheir number is being rerouted to them and they cannot contact the Gun Barrel City location. So... WEIRD. RIGHT?!?!?!?
