We needed a late dinner on a work trip, and it was great to find a place open until 10pm! The exterior threw us off because it?s... huge and flashy but apparently, part is a wedding venue. The ambience inside is cozy, and they have a large patio. The food cameout quickly, and we enjoyed it despite a few hiccups. The shrimp and grits were pretty good (I?m a nola girl so maybe I ambiased lol). The grit cakes seemed to be stoneground grits which have more texture than I was expecting, but the flavors werenice. It?s a very big portion with the entree coming with a salad and a side too. I ordered a drink at the same time, but it wasbrought out when we were 2/3 of the way done eating. My colleague ordered a burger with no cheese, and it came out with cheeseso they apologized and brought another with no problem. She enjoyed it! Once the bill came, we gave our card and the finalreceipt came back with a higher total listed. We asked and they realized they forgot to zero out the re-done burger?no worries!A few moments later, a third burger came out to the table (with cheese) LOL they had accidentally entered another one whenclearing out the second. It wasn?t a huge deal ? just a bit of an inconvenience. They were very apologetic and kind, and we weredefinitely understanding of that. We really appreciated the quick service (and the live music). I had the pleasure of visiting Sullys for the first time on Mother?s Day. I was worried about going because it was a holiday and... I wasn?t sure this would be the best time to review a restaurant. Especially with them being busy. I am so glad my family and Iwent because we truly had a wonderful time while eating some amazing food. We also had the pleasure of enjoying some live musicwhile we wait on our food. The ?Spotlight Person? goes to 3 wonderful ladies. I would like to start with Emily, who has anamazing personality, while working hard. This young lady was running circles, getting food, greeting and sitting families whilehaving a smile on her face the whole time. I know how busy the restaurant was and she was able to accommodate us and check on usduring our visit. I truly appreciate her customer service. Next, is Monique. She was our bartender for the day. She was patientas we tried to decide on what to drink. She informed us on the different drinks that were on tap and she gave us the space tofigure it out smiling the whole time. Lastly, was our sever Haley! I just want to say Haley did an amazing job at being ourserver for the day. I enjoyed her personality, her promptness and being attentive to our table while we were there. Therestaurant was busy and she made sure we were a priority! Service was ok. Nothing special. I had the Boudin Egg Rolls. Really good texture and flavor. However, the value wasn't there. I... had the shrimp and grits as an entre. Plate presentation was nice. Flavor profile was ok. Only a few shrimp on top in a mound ofgrit cakes. I alsi had the squash, which was cut way too thin amd had a strong black pepper taste. The hoist was very pleasant and smiled. Went directly to the bar. And was seated there. Mix drinks were made very good.... Bartenders was so good at her job and entertaining. Food was awesome and made me just go get in the bed and take a nap!!! Read more
Overall a good experience. The service was very quick and friendly. Had the BBQ burger, side salad, fried crab claws, and... bang bang shrimp. They are known for their steaks, which I didn't try on this trip. Probably next time. Food wasn't bad at all,but also didn't wow me. Maybe the steaks will. Will be back to try more for sure. A steak place at heart with a desire to also deliver excellent sandwiches. Great service and big portions. My hamburger was... cooked perfectly and was magnificent. My beloved enjoyed Sully's spin on Shrimp and Grits. The bar looked fun and comfortablebut we were too full to try it out, this time. Looking forward to future visits. Read more
