Today was my first time visiting Ms.Audrey's because I can never get off work in time before she close. But when I tell you it... was "DELICIOUS" I do mean just that. Everything was great especially the Almond pound cake she make... If I can give her a 10star rating she would get just that from me. Read more

My wife and I were in Gulf Shores Alabama for our 1 year anniversary. I told my wife I wanted some true southern Cajun/ Creole... food. The next morning we woke up and headed to Gulfport Mississippi for the day and I looked up Cajun food and found thishidden gem. The food was everything I was looking for. Thank you so much for the true southern hospitality Read more

Absolutely delicious. When you drive up the place looks like an old elementary school. We weren't sure what we were looking for... in trying to find Ms. Audrey's as we wound our way through the neighborhood but I'm all about trying places out so we gave it ashot. OUTSTANDING!! When you walk in they have a menu written out on a white board for the specials. It's a cafeteria style linebut with down home southern grandma cookin'. Everything was the best tasting you can ever imagine. I'm originally from SouthPark in Beaumont Texas and we had a few places way back when that were ran by ladies that knew how to cook soul food the oldways and Ms. Audrey's really reminded me of those times. We had Mama Dora's back then that was setup similarly. Thememories...... also the place reminded me of eating at MawMaw's house....just great food. I had the mashed potatoes with some oxtail gravy and just that was out of this world amazing and astounding....I don't even know how to explain in words how good thisfood is. I had the fried chicken and this is done so right, lightly breaded...tender....seasoned just right... Good Lord I hopeshe has a location in heaven. I also got the dressing, again.... absolutely amazing. I can't stress this enough.... unbelievablydelicious. We've been on vacation eating and all the expensive and highly recommended spots in Biloxi and this BEATS THEM ALL. Ihad the banana pudding for desert and it was perfect. It's obviously a local treasure, kind of hidden back away from the beatenpath but it's worth the trek to find it. The prices are cheap for what you are getting, the portions are substantial and this isfood you can taste the love in. It's different when people are passionate about what they cook and you can really sense thathere. Tip these ladies well because they are doing magic at Ms. Audrey's Southern Kitchen. Read more

I must say that after living in Gulfport for 2 years I thought all I would find would be po boy sandwiches and plenty of fast... food establishments after eating at miss Audrey's I can actually say I have found great home Southern cooking. Her food is thedefinition of down right Southern cooking. I usually take pictures of the food before I eat it unfortunately this food was sogood I kind of demolished it with my wife and kids before I could take pictures The fried chicken had so much flavor thesmothered pork chops were absolutely soft and flavourful the gumbo had fresh seafood with the rice was corn stuffing was fullof flavor the sweet macaroni and cheese was delicious The stringbeans had good flavor the collard greens had a beautiful kickand flavor the bread pudding was absolutely delicious and the banana pudding was equally delicious the price point was excellentall for under $40 we felt like we had a buffet. I really was impressed with the flavor and the staff was so lovely. You knowthe food is great when the staff is absolutely bragging about the food as well. I went back to try the oxtail and had it withsome of the best damn mashed potatoes I have ever tried. The sweet corn was so great it tasted like Spanish rice pudding butwith corn and less of a dessert it was just down right delicious. Her food is amazing. The oxtail was full of flavor it was notdry. It was so soft and juicy the meat was falling off the bone. Read more

Walking into Ms Audrey?s Southern Kitchen was reminiscent of being in Chicken Hut in Durham, NC!! The home cooked meal in the... air, the cafeteria style w/trays and all. The music that I grew up listening to with that southern hospitality that you don?ttire of but don?t get often?you know being acknowledged upon walking into a business? Yes!!! You get that here! Smiling facesserving deliciousness! I decided on the shrimp plate with collards and mac n cheese?I did that! Beat decision I made inMississippi that day. I had to take home some shrimp and I typically don?t have to do that however my plate has been as full asmy stomach was at that time. Generous plate topped off with an Arnold Palmer. Everything was beautiful to me the folks, hearingtheir laughter while eating I knew I was not going to be disappointed and that mac n cheese rivals Chicken Hut?s and my Mommaswhen she used to cook. BUT that thin battered seasoned to perfection shrimp!! Whoo make my mouth water thinking about it. Thankyou Ms. Audrey?s S.K. I appreciate y?all. Read more

The gumbo itself warrants 5 stars. Worth the trip and price. Best I've ever had. This place is hard to find but apparently... all the locals just know where it is. Lunch time packed with people who are in for super comfort food. There is nothing fancyhere. Just good food and friendly folks running the place. It is a tiny bit pricey but I think this place is also doingcommunity development and jobs training via the restaurant. Again, worth it. Read more
