Reviews for The Mill Restaurant in St. Petersburg, FL
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent drinks. We had the brunch charcuterie, the lobster omelet, and the pot pie along... with the windy and the frosted flakes drink. Highly recommend. Only suggestion - wish there was an additional non alcoholiccoffee menu but otherwise the meal and service was great! Read more
Food was awesome. Service was great as well. Only critique I could offer is toasting bread more and less watermelon on the... watermelon bruscetta. We had braised mussels (more crostinis would have been great, the broth was amazing and we didnt want towaste it), steak, meatloaf wellington and pound cake grilled cheese. All of the mixed drinks we had were delicious as well. Read more
We came here for lunch today and were blown away! The quality of cocktails and food was easily the best we experienced in our... time in the area; we're nerdy foodies and it's honestly the best meal we've had in some time. Our waitress, Tiffany, wasexcellent all around. We had the daily special--a patty melt--and the Kimmelweck beef sandwich, both of which were stunning andbeautifully balanced in flavor, eliciting "mms" with every bite. Best house made chips! We were sad at first to not have Frenchfries but finished the chips before the sandwiches! The Lucky Buck and Tahoma cocktails were delicious and flavorful withoutrelying on too much sugar, and the pound cake grilled cheese (!?!) for dessert topped everything off perfectly. Wish we livednearby so we could frequent. Read more
We went for brunch and Honestly, we were slightly disappointed. The descriptions of the food had us so excited & since we used... to live in SC, the southern flair coming out was especially exciting. We got several dishes to try and the best things were thedeviled eggs and the breakfast pot pie. I got the Low Country Benny and was disappointed. The biscuits were so dense they weredifficult to cut, not a true southern biscuit at all. Same with the sausage, really hard. Besides the breakfast pot pie, myhusband got the Sausage and Waffle Benny and the Brunchwich, both he said were okay, but not amazing. The cocktails were alsovery good, but not sure it?s worth our time going back. Read more
The Mill was the icing on the cake to end our weekend celebrating my birthday. From the host, Emily, to our bartender, Ryan. the... drinks and food was impeccable. Bella also was our bartender and she was amazing as well. The food was delicious. It was rightup our alley as far as taste of food, customer service, and decoration of it all. We met some amazing people while eating at thebar. Tanna, the manager, was awesome to speak with, telling her our food experience. Highly recommend the Crispy Okra basket,Grilled Red Shrimp Argentinian salad, Red Curry Coconut Braised Short Rib, and the Lemon Blueberry Layer Cake. Everything was soexceptional!! We went back this morning for brunch and everything was still great, from the bagel sandwich to the waffle withfried green tomatoes on top. We will definitely be back when we're in town again! Stopped by this restaurant on our visit to St. Petersburg today right before 4pm and was told they were in the process of... switching over from lunch to dinner menu items and the only items available were salads. This was a bit disappointing given wewere looking forward to eating the lamb burger. The manager implied to the availability of the menu items once they startedserving dinner so we stepped out for a bit and ended up returning to ?The Mill? since the reviews seem to warrant giving it atry. We were later told that the dinner menu was completely different and the lamb burger was not available. We had a coupleof mediocre cocktails and the glass noodle salad which looks very nice but tastes like salad - literally bland and to me lackingin flavor and taste. Seems it was missing the dressing and somewhat on the dry side. First time I?ve seen a mojito with nomint leaves. Also, the house cocktail was nothing special to rave about. Sorry but the experience wasn?t what we expectedbased on our other experiences in the Tampa vicinity over the past couple of days. We finished up and left for the Oyster Baracross the street which was a far better experience and worth the visit. Read more
Went for brunch on a Friday afternoon and sat outside. Beautiful spacious restaurant with a rustic industrial/ southern look. I... ordered a cappuccino and got served a latte and resultant disproportionate milk and espresso. We got the fried okra basket tostart. The okra were okay: they needed to be fried a bit longer to get it crispy and perhaps a little sprinkle of salt andpepper to add a little seasoning. For main, I got country fried steak which comes on a bed of grits with collard greens, sunnyside up eggs and gravy. The collard greens made the entirety of the grits too sour and not enjoyable. The fried steak was reallytough. The service was lackluster. Our waitress was attentive but appeared a bit nonchalant. Read more
