It's a shame that this restaraunt is not one of the top options displayed when you look for organic food in St. Petersburg.... Finding grass fed beef, organic and non GMO, and locally sourced options with a PLETHORA of vegan AND celiac friendly options inone restaraunt is a difficult task. Ignore the reviews that complain of slow service - there is a label on the website, and themenu, and the wait staff will explain why their kitchen cooks the way it does, and that it takes time. It is far beyond worththe wait. Our server Cortney was incredible, attentive, informative, and a joy to be around. They have their own personal veganpastry chef, Veronica (also an absolute joy who loved what she does), who prepares amazing vegan desserts, and we were luckyenough to meet the owner Debbie on the same night. I had several vegan cheeses tonight that were the best vegan cheese I've everhad (and believe me I thought I'd tried them all). Their vegan and vegetarian options are not the normal processed chunks youget on sandwiches and salads at other restaraunts. I also had the Alfredo, and a glass of their Sangria that's imported fromSpain itself. I recommend it ALL. I was too full to finish and had to take dessert home..and I'm sure it'll just add to the listof the other items I recommend. For the quality of of you are getting it is very fairly priced to boot. Share it with yourhealth conscious friends..this spot is a gem. Read more

Ate there with our eclectic group of diners. We all enjoyed our meals and rated the restaurant a 9.5 out of 10. My only... contention was that it was a bit noisy with a heavy bass music playing but they did lower it. Debbie and Ron, the owners, werenice enough to come out and talk with us for a while. We thoroughly enjoyed it; there is a special fixed menu for two people for$100 with two small glasses of wine included. We will definitely be back. Read more

We had a lovely dinner at Sol St. Pete last night! After exclusively dining al fresco for the past couple of years, we chose to... switch it up and enjoy the moody, intimate dining room. Little touches like the single tea candle at every table, twine bowwrapped around the silverware, soft sounds of bossa nova, and gold colored utensils made the small space feel a lot moreromantic than we had expected! A welcome surprise. Our waitress, Marissa, doubled as hostess and also served every other indoortable with ease and confidence. There appeared to be only one other waiter to service the patio, but he too seemed to haveeverything perfectly under control. We were seated the closest to the kitchen and loved hearing the owner and other chef callout how many ?nibble boards? (charcuterie) they needed. I made a mental note to include this detail in my review, as they couldhave just as easily called them ?boards?, or something to quicken the pace. But, calling this item by it?s full, adorable namereally exemplifies the homey feel of Sol ? nothing rushed, just two people cooking together. Now, on to the food! PerMarissa?s suggestion, we split the creamy sweet potato bisque to start. It was absolutely delicious, a worthy adversary to theinfamous Rococo lobster bisque, if I do say so myself. Next time we won?t be splitting it. ???? For our entrees, I chose theTurkey lasagna and my partner went with the spaghetti and 100% grass-fed beef meatballs. Both came with a dinner roll and sidesalad, a miniature version of their Sol salad. Both were exquisite. Despite the generous portion, we cleaned our plates in lessthan 10 minutes. I loved my Turkey lasagna because it had ricotta AND goat cheese, neither overpowered the other. While small insize, the side salads were delicious and lightly dressed. The crispy rolls revealed a fluffy cloud once broken. Everythingtasted undeniably fresh, wholesome, and prepared with care? not a pool of olive oil in the lasagna or a burnt ed Read more

Fantastic! My wife Tracey and I went to S?l last night and I have to say it was absolutely outstanding! My wife does not eat... gluten and stays away from refined sugar, and I am lactose intolerant. Neither of us knew that the restaurant would have such anamazing selection of gluten-free and lactose-free items! My wife ate bread last night for the first time in a very long time! And loved it! As an experienced restaurateur with more than 25 years in the business, I was pleasantly surprised with allaspects of this restaurant. The interior design, the lighting, the music/ambience and the highly attentive owners. I was tellingmy wife last night that we were fortunate to be involved in the very beginning stages of this restaurant because it isdefinitely going somewhere. We had the beet hummus as an appetizer and I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting much flavor and agrainy texture. However, quite to the contrary, it was very smooth and exploding with flavor! The flatbread points and thepurple and orange carrots were perfectly trimmed, amazingly fresh and flavorful! Tracy ordered the beef stew with a sweet potatopurée/mash that was insane! There were no fat globules and grizzly pieces anywhere on the plate. I ordered the New York stripand it was perfectly cooked. It came with kale that I expected to be bitter and once again I was pleasantly surprised that thisseasoning was so well-crafted it completely eliminated all the bitterness. There was a whipped cauliflower mash under the steakthat was so light and so tasty I think my brain melted. I thought to myself it might be nice to try and add a little bit ofhorseradish to the light fluffy cloud, but that is the only thing that even crossed my mind about a potential way to make itbetter. The owners/Chef spoke with us, their son took care of us, and we couldn't have been happier. This was the best meal wehave had in St. Pete in quite some time. To top everything off, my wife had no gluten reactions and I had no Read more

I?ve been waiting for this restaurant to open. I made a reservation and went for my birthday. Everything was delicious and the... service was great. It?s small inside so I would recommend making a reservation. Beware they have a limited menu. I had thelasagna and my husband had the roasted chicken. For me, being able to eat lasagna out is a treat. It was gluten free and cowsmilk free. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was good but not worth the $12 in my opinion. I hope theycontinue to expand the menu. I?ll definitely be back. Read more
