Reviews for Pia's Trattoria in Gulfport, FL
Our first experience - really great dinner! Food was great, ambiance was so cute (we sat outside) and our server, Becky, was... exceptional. Had to try the house made bread and pasta but the black grouper special sounded incredible. Looking forward totrying more of the menu! Read more
Loved the outdoor seating and the atmosphere. Loved the homemade pasta, the appetizer selection, the salads. We all enjoyed the... cocktails. The Sicilian martini was refreshing ???? The deserts were really good too. There?s plenty of options for gluten freedishes as well. The hardest past was to find parking. Other than that a great spot to enjoy Italian food. Read more
Honest review from. Foodie- We walked in on Tuesday evening and did not need a reservation which was great. We sat on the patio... which was cute but very dark. They had one candle for our table which continued to blow out. We actually had to use our phonesfor lighting. Presentation of food was gorgeous! Taste of every dish was disgusting?. The Capriccio was shaved thick, almostlike cheese steak style meat. It was not thinly shaved as it should be and therefore was gross as it truly felt like you wereeating a big, chewy piece of raw meat- which you were. The bruschetta was terrible. The bread was so soggy and not toasted? itwas simply diced tomatoes and onions, no balsamic drizzle.. The spaghetti pomdoro was the biggest disappointment- it is NOThomemade pasta and the sauce tasted like pure water. I added the 6pm meatball on, and it was raw and mushy in the inside Wepackaged our food and stopped on the way home to eat elsewhere? All in all, I think this is a cute spot if you?re looking tojust go out to eat. If you?re looking for wowing food though- do not waste your time when you can boil store bought pasta andsauce out of a can. Read more
It?s fair price with big portion. Wine is good price also. We were sitting backyard with fresh air, the next sister restaurant... (Pia?s Veranda ) has the live music with the same menu. Definitely we will try there next time! Read more
Took a short trip out of downtown for lunch. Glad we did! We sat outside and it felt like we were straight off the streets of... Italy. Absolutely loved the atmosphere. The grilled calamari was my choice. The lemony zest was intense and loved that theywere whole as apposed to sliced. The side of fresh bread suggestion was on point. All the food was wonderful and our server wasfantastic and had great recommendations and knowledge of the menu. Highly recommend! Read more
First time at Pia's and it did not disappoint. Parking was a little off as they turned us away because we didn't have a... reservation. The attendant told us that there was an hour and half wait so we won't get in. Luckily we already dropped one of usoff and she said that wait was only 30 minutes. We sat in the terrace area as we had our dogs with us. Our service was wonderfuland so were our meals. Four of us ended up eating each others food and we loved every bit of it! Definitely recommend. Updated: been back a couple of times and unfortunately food quality has gone down with each visit. Not sure if the recipes or... the chef has changed, or maybe both? Ordered the same, classic Clam Linguine dish and it was prepared differently; was soupy vs.creamy, had fewer clams, and overall lacked flavor and freshness. Same with the Spaghetti. Pasta was alsoover-cooked. Excellent service from staff. Delicious dishes and homemade pasta, teas, and desserts! Romantic ambiance.Beautiful inside that feels like you?re in Italy. Nice outside courtyard patio seating. Good for dates, special celebrations, families, and large groups. Highly recommend the Mussels with the Ciabatta bread. Read more
