I live in Old Northeast and I can't say enough about this local restaurant. Such a great neighborhood pub. They only serve beer... and wine but the food is AMAZING. it's impressive how good the food is. I stop by at least once a week. I love this place, so please understand that this is a 1 star review because I really hope management sees it and tries to turn... it around. This review is meant to be constructive criticism in the hopes of improvement. I'm just going to say it, this placeneeds to be professionally cleaned from top to bottom. I did my best to look past the thick layers of dirt everywhere and deadbugs frequently found in the restroom, but I can't any longer. The straw that broke the camels back was a thick clump of moldthat I found in a draft beer. The lines are obviously not being flushed. And I should have know they aren't. If you're leavingdirt and bugs where you know customers can see it, you're obviously not cleaning what we can't see. Please, clean this belovedbar up. It's to the point where you really ought to close for a couple days and bring in professionals. Your food is excellentand your staff is stellar. I've been wanting to try his place and I finally had a chance to with a friend. It's a great neighborhood dive bar where... everyone seems to know everyone. The bartender and clientele were friendly and fun to talk to. They have a surprisingly greatselection of draft beers with lots of imports from Belgium, Canada, Germany, and probably some others. Happy days! We ordered a large pizza next door. Lo and behold the Tavern and pizzeria are affiliated so we had our delicious... pizza at the Tavern. It appears that the tavern has three areas. Ambience is "tavernesque"/rustic: an old fashioned bar, woodenbooths and tables in the main room which also has large TV screens. Great selection of beers, good wine selection too. We onlyhad pizza but the menu looked good. One room has a billiards table. I believe the other room had extra seating. Staff weregreat. All good! Read more
Really great atmosphere, not too casual but not overly classy. Not your normal pub fare either. They have a long list of... interesting sandwiches that are all homemade and tasty, pizza, and appetizers. The beer selection is pretty good as well and Iappreciate a place that serves it in the proper glassware. Read more
Nice local bar. The Waitress was very friendly and humorous. The atmosphere was very good, and the pizza was to die for.
