I am from Stamford, CT where Colony Grill originated, but live in Florida now. I was so excited to hear that there was a Colony... Grill in St. Petersburg, FL. We went last night and the pizza was just as I remembered, super thin crispy crust and greattoppings. A taste that brought back many memories. Thanks! We will be back. Read more

Needed a bite to eat while in St. Petersburg. While walking we saw a beautiful bright looking pizza a couple of ladies were... eating. It looked delicious so we stopped in. We didn't realize that Colony only had pizza on the menu. So, we ordered pizza. Wehad a salad pizza and one that we added the toppings that we wanted. Overall the pizza was very good. We enjoyed both and theserver was great. We were there at about 4:00pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. It was very clean and had outside eating aswell as inside eating. My only complaint would be that the menu was only pizza. I could have really used some wings or some typeof meat. Read more

This place was just okay. Colony Grill was very clean inside and had the space divided between the bar side and the dining side... at 8:00 on a Saturday night. We were surprised that it was pretty much empty except for at the bar when all the surroundingrestaurants were packed. Our server was okay, nothing special, but probably because there's not much to do since there's onlyone item on the menu. Menu. The one item is pizza, apparently pizza from their original restaurants in Connecticut. The pizzaitself was not great. This is the first time ever that I have had to put salt on a pizza to give it flavor. We used all of thetoppings on the table to help with the flavor of the pizza. It was extremely greasy and all of the toppings were just piled ontop. One of the diners at our table compared it to Red Baron pizza with fresher ingredients. They also only give you small paperplates to eat off of so the amount of grease is crazy. They could at least get real plates for the dining side and use the paperplates for the bar side. This just felt lazy. Most of the wait staff was huddled around the front of the restaurant chattingthe whole time we were there because there was only two full tables in the dining side and a couple tables out front that peoplewere eating at. Overall, we would not be back. There are too many good pizza places within walking distance of this that haveother options on their menu, real utensils and plates, and just have overall better food. I'm sure for the people that lived inCT, this is probably a great throwback pizza for them, but for the average diner this place was not good. Read more

Wonderful for our friends and their kids! We must have ordered 10 pizzas and they were all piping hot and amazing. The hot oil,... sausage, anchovy, pepper, olive (etc) pizza was my favorite! Beers and cheer to wash them down. Great place! Read more

We stopped at Colony Grill because of its great location on Central Ave and because they had many outdoor tables were we could... park our bikes. Great spot for people watching. Having said that, we went in with low expectations because they ONLY servePIZZA. See photos of their whole menu, that is it. Limited topping options and only one Crust. We are very picky on Crust and Ionly like thin crispy Crust, and they got it perfect! You start with a $10 pie, then add toppings for $1.75 each. We went withpepperoni, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, and black olives. It was delicious! Read more
