Fried Catfish was amazing, robust flavor, fresh and melted in my mouth, collard greens was perfect! I would have had a photo of... my food but clearly it was too good to wait. The decor was beautiful, a nice homage to the cuisine. Shout out to the hostessand Val who was our server. She was warm, personable and kept us updated on our food, she could tell we was ready toeat! We found this restaurant based on a Google search and we are so happy we did! The food was amazing (get the crawfish etoiffee)... and the service was top notch. Valerie was so kind and made sure to get to know each of our names, which she referred to us asduring our whole meal. Kenny came out of the kitchen to talk with us about the food and restaurant. They are still recoveringfrom the pandemic, so food is served in take away containers. That doesn't put a damper on the experience though. Not only did the food have NO seasoning, but my boyfriend asked for NO CHEESE on his grits and they put it on there. NEXT MY... GREENS HAD A LONG WIRE HOOK INSIDE OF THEM!!! Luckily I spit it out before swallowing!! I cook so I know how to tell what foodis homemade and what’s not. THOSE GREENS ARE FROM OUT A CAN! NEXT the corn bread was hard, cold, and old. the lemonade tasteslike nun but SUGAR and diabetes! TERRIBLE. I wish I could give 0 stars!!!!! And what makes it even worse is we are from out oftown.
