What an awesome place to eat and visit! We came to Gulf Shores for vacation from Michigan and found ourselves at Perch! We... enjoyed an incredible view from the patio where we could see Dolphins and white sand beaches. Our waiter Chris was so great! Hesteered us toward the garlic shrimp, which was awesome! My husband had the filet mignon and it was fork tender and to die for!Fresh catch was swordfish and was simply the best fish we?ve ever had. Tropical Torte with ???? mango and pineapple was a greatfinish with an espresso martini. Back to our waiter, Chris was a wonderful surprise! He was so professional and knowledgeableand had such a pleasant personality.. (what a nice change to what we?ve experienced lately in the world.) We can?t say enoughabout the experience he gave us other than it was so great that I?m sending my friends from Michigan in next week, a group of 7ladies, to request him and enjoy the amazing food and wine! This place is GREAT! With all the good restaurants in the area, we never had to leave the resort had three great meals here... never eating the same thing twice. Chef Brad is awesome and the staff - Jes, Tara, Tyler and Will - are the best! Read more
This place was really great. The view from inside and outside are spectacular. The food is very fresh and the quality of... ingredients is top-tier. The preparation and presentation was 10/10. The service was prompt and courteous. The staff workedwell together and had good energy and a great vibe overall. Drinks were cold and refreshing. Great time dining after sundown on their deck. Candlelight tables, fire pits, great service. We enjoyed the shrimp, braised... octopus with chorizo (odd but yummy combo), and lamb lollipops drizzled with an amazing rosemary chimichurri sauce. Our serverWill was delightful. This tapas restaurant was absolutely fabulous in all regards. First off, it?s located right in the beach and has free valet... parking. Then there?s the super chic and comfortable atmosphere. You can eat inside or outside. On nice nights, there are firepits to cozy around outside. And the food?.well, the food was simply amazing with its ?high end? presentation and unbeatableflavors. We saw great reviews so we went to try it, and we agree! Had the yellowfin tuna, shrimp, and filet minion (8 oz). Everything was... prepared perfectly. The bar also makes some amazing cocktails. Our favorite were the margaritas and Perfect Manhattan. Read more
If you like tapas and great views this place is for you. Scallops were wonderful, lamb lollipops were delicious, and the cheese... board was stupendous. You can sit outside and enjoy the fantastic view around the fire pit while drinking beachy cocktails.Valet parking is validated. Read more
Trip number two to Perch at Gulf State Park was amazing! We started off with Marshall bartending for us at the indoor bar. He... made an amazing blueberry fizzy thing for my wife and I had an IPA from Big Beach Brewery right down the road. Both wereperfect on a sunny 80 degree day. We enjoyed the scallops, which came on a puree with brussel sprouts on the side. Thescallops were cooked and seasoned beautifully. A few people around us at the bar were enjoying raw oysters, I still prefer theoysters! The tables on the balcony are the best on the beach. Live music by Chase from Big Beach Brewing was a nice touch. Definitely going back. Read more
