Reviews for Papa Nalu Aloha Grill in Gulf Breeze, FL
I cannot believe I gave this place a miss for all these years. I just assumed it was something not for me but glad I finally... checked it out. The food was delicious and large portions. The staff was super friendly and helpful at this family runrestaurant. My fish sandwich came out as two sandwiches! This place is easy to fall in love with after one dining experience. Somuch to love from Hawaii that isn't spam! I will be coming back. Read more
I'm so happy I found this little gem! Everything tasted so fresh and well prepared. I appreciated the natural taste of the food... instead of it being heavily seasoned. Saimin broth was very mild yet tasty still. I loved all the dishes. The mac salad wasdifferent (never had bell peppers in it) yet still yummy. The loco moco was a treat! And Lomi Lomi was surprisingly good. Theservice was what stood out the most. They were very attentive. I got the mango passion fruit cheesecake and I tasted somethingsalty or savory and wondered if that was typical? I will be back to try other things on the menu. Don't expect L&L qualityfood, I felt that it's much more authentic to their own recipes in my opinion. Read more
It was okay. I got hottie tuna which was a good cut but it was not as fresh as I'm used to. I also got Mahi tacos. They were... okay. I asked for wasabi and got some kind of pace that wasn't even spicy. Last time we were there our food was better. Read more
This was a wonderful restaurant! We absolutely loved the food and service. My husband who has had traditional Hawaiian food says... it was an accurate representation. Read more
It was fast and a good price. Out of the three major categories of Price, Taste and Service. I gotta say the price was right the... service was good. The taste of the food was severely lacking for a ?Hawaiian? restaurant. I expected like L&L or Hawaiian Brosquality chicken but this chicken was not similar to what I expected. The side of broccoli is silly. And the Mac salad is nottypical either it?s very pickled and dill and usually Max salad should be creamy. Aloha Grill, please consider revitalizing yourfood preparation to higher standards. Panda Express has better Teriyaki Chicken. Read more
Ono eats! I love to visit Hawaii, so a friend of mine told me about Papa Nalu and I am happy she did! Peyton was our server and... she was amazing. She is truly a mind reader, I never had anyone anticipate everything I needed like she did, she's a gem. Thefood is soo good, I ordered the Ahi tuna with a side of macaroni salad and coleslaw. The tuna was cooked and seasoned perfectly,I even took home extra mac salad and coleslaw. It was definitely worth the drive from Pensacola, I will be back! Read more

This is a lovely little Hawaiian dining place at the end of an unassuming strip mall. It's nicely decorated inside. Not kitschy... or fake. The staff know the menu and drinks very well. Our service was impeccable on the Friday evening we dined in. We did waitaround 15 minutes to be seated. Kalua pork was delicious w the pineapple sauce. The chicken plate was also delightful with a BBQsauce. Both dinners came with brown rice, broccoli, and traditional Hawaiian macaroni salad. I would definitely eat here againfor the quality food and sweet prices. Read more
