This was our first time visiting Pensacola Beach. I had watched some video?s on places to eat. One of the recommendations was... Flounder?s Chowder House. We gave it a try on our first night. WOW!! What a GREAT PLACE!! We loved the atmosphere and ourwaitress, Sarah Lauren, was Fantastic! She explained about the restaurant, how long she had worked there and how great thecompany was to work for and how good they were to the employees (we heard the same thing from our waiter two nights later whenwe went back). Sarah explained the entire menu and gave her recommendations and why. We ordered drinks and appetizers whilelooking over the menu. They were fresh and fantastic! Our entrees were out of this world! They were fresh, hot and veryflavorful. We had the Macaroni and Cheese with shrimp and bacon, recommended by Sarah and the crab legs. When we went back onSaturday night, EVERYONE was watching the Tennessee vs. Alabama football game. I had the Shrimp Alfredo pasta and the Key Limepie. We HIGHLY recommend Flounders and we will definitely be returning there on our next trip to Pensacola Beach. Honestly, itis worth the drive from NC just to eat there!! Read more

If your in Pensacola, you need to eat here! It was a great atmosphere with Amazing food and awesome drinks. We enjoyed the the... tropical and black raspberry diesel fuels drinks and they were drinks worth getting!! The onion ring stack was impressive whilethe hush puppies and beer cheese left nothing to be desired. Let?s talk about dinner, we had the stuffed flounder with asparagusand it was the absolute best we have ever had. Our waitress, Chelsea, was very friendly, personable, and top notch so if youdine in ask for Chelsea! It was Friday night and they had a live band! Who knows? We may just eat here again tomorrow night! Read more

What can I say? This restaurant is an institution and you already understand that when you walk to your table. Numerous... interesting maritime pieces are hanging on the walls and on the ceiling. The menu is big but not overwhelming. My flounder withfries and tartar sauce came out tender and delicious. They have all kinds of seating, from inside to the patio and on the beach.Recommended! First time here. Had 2 waters, calamari, side of hush puppies, stuffed flounder, grouper and a root beer to go. Total $85. Hush... puppies were delicious especially with the honey butter. The flounder stuffed crab had cheese and bread crumbs and was prettygood! The grouper was a bit fishy even when blackened and lemon flavored but not bad. The Yukon potatoes on the side were reallygood as well! Shout out Tracie, good waitress! The place was packed and parking was difficult but sitting inside was no issuebut if you want a seat outside it's pretty slammed. Read more

Wow! This place was great! The cooks, wait & host staffs are fantastic & deserve a generous tip. The restaurant is huge, while... providing both indoor and outdoor dining choices. We sat in the covered patio area, which gave us a terrific view of the outdoorplayground & volleyball court. Our waitress was named Taylor, & she was awesome. She knew the menu incredibly well, & it helpedus to decide what we wanted (we were first-timeguests). We ordered the shrimp sampler & it was amazing! Read more

Our host was so amazing. He took time to sang Happy Birthday to my friend. He helped with deciding what was a good dish to get.... The drinks are absolutely amazing here. The atmosphere is so welcoming. They have a live band and a fire pit further off. Iwould definitely come back here. Read more

Pleasant and friendly associates were eager to seat us in this amazingly relaxed atmosphere. The menu choices are easy to read... and choose from, while the staff answered any questions we had. Drinks stayed plentiful and the food arrived to the table gotand fresh with great presentation quality. I was able to enjoy the views of the neighboring tables food and drinks arriving, giving me plenty of future choices to indulge in now that I know what to expect upon arrival. The relaxed atmosphere includedwater views of nearby bayou as well as the history of this establishment. Locals are friendly and fun to chat with. There areplenty of gift shops to choose memorabilia a well. The Pensacola pier is just across the street of your eager to take the trekand burn off the calories you've acquired during your meal visit. Read more
