Definitely rustic! Great barbecue. The pulled pork and tri-tip were delicious. Sat at the bar eating and drinking beer from a... local Woodland brewery. Yum! Read more

We have been driving past this place for years! I finally made my husband stop and BOY were we happy we did! We had the dogs and... the littles in the car so we took it to go and 15 min later we were in the road chowing on a brisket sandwich and a linguicasandwich with peppers and onions?the kids had the chicken taquitos and fries and even those were delicious! Their sauces are sogood. We can?t wait to bring friends back here and maybe see some of their live entertainment! The back outdoor seating is setup really well! Thanks for the food and good service! We will be back. Read more

Thank you for the laughs and smiles. Whatever you do don't try the hush puppies. They're just so delicious, you will want more.... I can eat them with no dipping sauce. I'm definitely going to come back and try other tasty treats they offer. Read more

One amazing place. History here. One has the choice of sitting inside or outside, picnic table's or a bar style table outside... the front door. First and foremost meat is cooked in portions. When they sell out, there will be a wait for the next round.Really neat inside seating. The bar is original. You can see that per the pictures on the wall. That of which includes thehistory of this place. A must read. I've been to a hand full of places that cook true smoked meat. This place is real, slowpaced.. you can tell it is a family operated joint. Food was amazing! First time in the West to have Brisket that was so tenderand full of flavor. Parking is limited keep that in mind. It is out in the middle of nowhere per Cali. Which in my opinion makesit an even better experience. There are still people cooking real food at a normal rate. You get the opportunity to see the meatbeing cooked on an open trailer pit. All the food was great. I ordered the the 3 meat platter. No chicken. We ordered the hushpuppies for a side. Great choice. The cobbler was delicious. Their house made sauces were very good. However, they did toss us abottle of Baby Ray's (yuck). I assumed they did that for the city BBQ queens. Hands down I would highly recommend taking thetime and make the drive. Well worth it. Just be ready to possible wait for meat or parking. Read more

We stopped here on our way home. In fact we passed it because we weren?t hungry but decided to turn around and were so glad we... did. The staff was so sweet and helpful, the atmosphere on the back patio was gorgeous. We watched kids play bare foot in thegrass as the sun set behind some trees. It transported me back to the Deep South. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich and mywife got nachos. Both were very good and better than I expected. I can?t wait to go back! Read more

Found this gem on our way to go camping. I?m so glad we found it!! The food was awesome, the people that worked there were super... sweet and the whole outdoor atmosphere was like sitting in our own backyard. They completely follow covid guidelines. They havea sink outside to wash your hands and sanitizing sprays to wipe down your table. The food was delicious! So good we made it apriority to go again on our way back home. The brisket sandwich was so tender and tasteful, the bbq sauce was bomb! I loved thebread in the cheesesteak sandwich. It was soft and fresh. The second time we came, we ordered the brisket nachos, hot pastramisliders and BBQ plate. We also got their specialty pies... apricot and plum. The plum was on the sweeter side but still good.EVERYTHING we ordered was delicious!!! Ooooooo and their sauces.... the fermented puya chili was so good we ended up buying abottle to take home. I absolutely recommend this place!!! We will definitely go back for more!!! Read more

Nice and cozy place, friendly and great staff. With great outdoors seating and reasonable drink prices. The brunch food was... basic and okay, however corned beef was way too salty. We had higher expectations for food. Read more
