We visited the Guilford Mooring, a restaurant I was very familiar with, to have seafood. Upon arriving there was a sign... indicating 2 of the items we wanted were out of stock and unavailable. Once seated we became quickly aware that thisrestaurant was not air conditioned and it was very warm. Our server Tricia was quick to provide us with menus and drinks, shewas attentive throughout the entire meal. We order salads which were considerable size for the price and an order of PrinceEdward Island muscles which were exceptional. We were looking for steamed clams for a friend from out of state and The Moorings was just the place. Huge order and very tasty.... We ate outside but the interior has been renovated and is really nice inside. We hadn't been in years but we will certainly goback. Read more
Right on the water! Outdoor bar that is fun. We shared an appetizer that was yummy. Great beer selection. Bartender attentive... and friendly. Look forward to making this a regular summer haunt. Read more
I'm so glad I made a visit here! I appreciated the variety of the menu, because sometimes you want to dine near the water and... not necessarily have seafood. The truffalo wings that were a special were fantastic! The truffle flavor wasn't too overwhelming,and the wings were very meaty and fresh. All of our lunches were delicious, and we thought it was so cool how they had LemoNatesthere to make freshly squeezed lemonades and limeades! The drinks were so refreshing with our meals, and can be orderedalcoholic or non-alcoholic. The only thing was that the parking was tough here, but we just kept circling the lot until oneopened up. Some absolutely fantastic dishes. Fried artichoke, chicken pot stickers, and lobster mac n cheese~ It was so delicious! I highly... recommend The fried artichoke was crispy and well seasoned and came with a tangy sauce that I've unfortunately forgotten thename of. I could easily eat an entire plate by myself ha. The chicken pot stickers were juicy and well cooked, not soggy at all!Came with a Korean BBQ sauce that was a bit sweet and had a bit of a bite to it. Very good~ The lobster mac was to die for.Wonderfully cooked noodles in a creamy cheese sauce and HUGE chunks of lobster! I'm talking several whole claw pieces along withjuicy chunks. Wanted to try a new (to us) restaurant and landed on Guilford Mooring. Went on a Saturday around lunch, not too crowded. Our... waiter (also the bartender) Casey was fun and friendly and can make a mean cocktail (highly recommend the Holly & Ivy). Weordered the pot stickers for an app and the scallops and lobster mac and cheese for entrees. While waiting for our appetizer ourentrees came out, no big deal we were pretty hungry. Entrees were really delicious and good size portions. Casey not only compedour app but had it made and let us take it home. An overall really great experience and we can't wait to go back. Read more
