I went to this Swiss Chalet and I had a great Festive Special. I was at another Swiss Chalet in Guelph and I got food poisoned.... Here the chicken was moist, the mashed potatoes was amazing and gravy came with it. I had Swiss Chalet sauce it was good. Theyhad Lint chocolates as well. My friend had a chicken wrap she said it was hot. My fiancé had chicken he liked it. MyStepdaughter had chicken and it was hot. I was very pleased. Oh a little apology to the waitress sorry about the salt undertable my Stepdaughter is hyper and she has a habit of pouring stuff on the floor she does it for attention. Sorry again for thesalt. We got the family thanksgiving dinner? we picked it up and brought it home. was awful, they forgot two of the 4 sides? the... portions were all small, and the food was cold even though we picked up right at the correct pick up time. The pumpkin pie wasfrozen! Awful food. We called and asked what they could do about the missing food and poor quality, they offered a $5 credit attheir location? never giving Swiss chalet my money again. Read more
Food was great, took awhile. However, the 11 year old working seemed to have more class than the owners. Jaden, my man, you... are a class act who deserves better than how you are being treated. I hope you enjoy your childhood. If your child had beenworking and you treated them with dignity and respect you would not be receiving this message. Not usually one to leave overly negative reviews but I was very disappointed with my delivery order today. Sick as can be with... covid and was excited for some yummy food but I don?t even want to eat it. They did not include the chalet sauce so I just haveplain chicken with zero seasoning or flavour. The Caesar salad container was half empty with maybe a single piece of bacon.Fries were cold, dry and like they?ve been sitting all day. Soup has little flavour. $32 and the only thing I want to eat is thewhite bun. Will not be ordering from this location again unfortunately :( Read more
ZERO stars!! Ordered take out dinner for 3 ppl from this restaurant tonight and it was horribly disappointing! first of all,... the containers were awful. We were eating with the boxes on our laps and the moisture and grease from the box on your lap fromsome of the meals was concerning. The original containers were sorely missed! Although we asked for utensils and condiments,none were included. We had to go scrouging for forks! The Crispy Chicken Sandwich and sweet potatoe fries were absolutelypitiful!! The sandwhich itself was only a clump of crispy chicken and a drizzle of sauce. There was no pickle, no lettuce orcoleslaw as advertised! The side sweet potatoe fries costing an extra $2.99, was not worth the additional charge. The volumewas half of the side box, the pieces looked like small bits and they were greasy and flimsy! They looked like they wereremnants of an order that had been sitting a while! The chicken wrap and side caesar salad was not any better. Normally thewraps when in dining are a good size. This one looked like it was half the size. The Caesar salad was nothing to write abteither! I ordered the quarter chicken dinner, white meat and a side garden salad. The BIG box housed the quarter chicken andthe other side was empty other than the chalet sauce! What a waste of space! My side garden salad was honestly gross! Thelettuce was browning and limp, some looking "wet or slimy". I did not feel safe to eat it and it was put in the garbage. If itwerent for the fact that we were hungry, we would have gotten back into the car and drove it back to the restaurant to request arefund! Not a happy customer. While the online ordering experience was good, the food that I got was not what Swiss Chalet would be... proud of. Everything was lukewarm except for the fries. They were overcooked, crunchy and COLD. I tried calling the restaurantin south Guelph, but nobody answered the phone. I felt that the 2 1/4 chicken dinners that I ordered were not worth $29 thatthey charge. I have been a fan of Swiss Chalet for years, but, based on this experience, will likely not be back. Obviously, the company and their customer serviceteam consider customer satisfaction as a top priority. I have been reached out to by the guest experience center, who was makingsure that my satisfaction as a customer was their top priority. I want to thank you guys for making me really happy. You?llnever lose a customer with an amazing team like this. I assure you that I will be coming back to visit your branch again. Thankyou ????????? The place was quiet, there was four tables occupied. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The restaurantwas clean and the tables had been sanitised. The only problem that I had, was that the restaurant might?ve been under staffed,considering it was a long weekend. The food looked okay, but when I started to eat I realised that the chicken either in theKrispy chicken combo or the half chicken dinner were overcooked and were very dry. I compared them to the one in York Mills ,which I used to visit and I never had any complaints regarding the food taste . I ordered a veggie pot pie and was appalled to find a piece of raw bacon inside. Also, the rest of our meals were warm or cold... rather than hot. I can?t understand how this is possible but it?s not safe and can lead to food poisoning or salmonella.Instead of refunding my meal, I was given a voucher for another veggie pot pie. Obviously, I won?t be ordering again and am verydissatisfied. Read more
