I have been coming to Avanti for over a decade, since the family owners with Dave and his wife and kids. The new owners recently... took over and the pizza is not up to standard. The dough was too chewy and dry, definitely looks like the receipe has beenchanged for the worse. The pizza did not look or taste anywhere close to the quality I am used to with Avanti. They need tobetter job instead of changing things for the worse. I think I will start looking for a new pizza place in Guelph Read more

Well, new owners and a different pizza. My opinon was Avanti was the best pizza in Guelph. What made it the best were a couple... of things. Not a thick or thin crust. Airy but with a nice chew. The kicker was that they put the cheese on top then theingredients. The toppings were cooked and moist. Anyway was there on their opening night and the pizza was a bit of adisappointment. Very thin crust. Hard and too chewy. Cheese did seem to be on top but not like before. Toppings were on toptoo. They are the new owners and I get it, they can do whatever they want. I noticed while there the old owners were there inthe back perhaps helping with the transition. My suggestion is to listen to them and maybe make the pizza's like they did. Youwill be unique like they were, unlike all the the other pizza joints in Guelph. Bottom line is, I'll try them again. Maybe itwas just opening night. I hope is was. Read more
I was always pleased with there food and prices. Never order in a while then l had friend come in for lunch on a Friday and we... both panzerroti which was always delish with 3 toppings!! I was horrified when the order came too my door It was next to beingburnt you could not pick it up all the ingriedence fell out when you picked it up. I called and told lady l was verydisappointed and she agreed to refund cash money back $27.00 too much money to spend on pure slop The old man was a real jokecould barely speak English thank goodness no tip for him but he was not worth tip!! Pretty much threw money at me but l calledhim back but he kept walking l was just going too give him slop back he should be put in cage and fed with a stick l would neverorder again from there any more people l know Read more

I have been coming here for a very long time. Back before the new owners and it still is one of the best, if not the best, pizza... in guelph. Loads of toppings and cheese to the crust. Their tomato sauce is bursting with flavor, I always order extra. Iordered a large 3 topping pineapple, bacon, ham, extra sauce. I couldn't believe how good it tasted, I finished the whole thingin one sitting almost haha. I will continue to order from here! Thanks Avanti for providing such good pizza for many years andmore to come! My only issue would be the hours. Wish it was open later on the weekends. Read more
