First time trying this place. Got 2 chicken shawarma plates. Salad and potatoes and rice were great. Pickles were popping with... flavour. The chicken and the garlic sauce is where it got lost for me. Chicken was dry and not enough flavour for me. Garlicsauce needed more flavour too. After trying every shawarma place in town now, chicken and sauce rates last, but salad andpotatoes and rice are first place. Read more
This is my family?s favourite shawarma restaurant in Guelph. The food isn?t too salty like I find a lot of other shawarma places... make their food. The flavours are perfectly melded together to create a great dining experience every time. Moe (the owner) is aclass act and you can tell he prides himself in making great food. Hello, I had a falafel plate and falafel wrap, garlic sauce is literally bitter in taste and falafel was also not good! Whole,... falafel plate is bad which includes falafel, rice , salad and potatoes, everything tastes so bad. Even, after sometime , when Icalled him , that I didn?t feel good after I ate this food , he was behaving rudely and arguing with me, that this is the bestplace for falafel. Great tasting food and great service! Guy working there always greets me and is incredibly fast at preparing food. Love their... house dairy-free garlic sauce and fresh food. Additionally, its great seeing local stores providing affordable lunch optionsfor local kids. Two thumbs up!! Read more
From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The person working I found out later... was one of the co-owners and he definitely looked like he didn?t want to be there. When I walked in he was on his phone anddidn?t acknowledge my presence for a few minutes. When he did assist me, he was very very short with me. I feel like I didnothing wrong. I as the customer greeted him with a smile which wasn?t returned. He just looked grumpy that I wanted to spend myhard earned money at his place of business. One of the more memorable moments is when I asked for extra onions and was toldthat there was already onions in the salad. The small small salad that was mixed in a metal bowl that had leftovers from theprevious salad made. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate. It came with bland rice, dry chicken that even the garlic sauce heput on without asking didn?t even help, a small sample sized salad, and a couple of dry potatoes. This was the first and lasttime I will be coming here for shawarma. Shawarma G is just down the road and their food and service is many times better. Read more
Unfortunately this was my first, and last time coming here. My boyfriend and I went in to order 2 chicken shawarma plates. Upon... entering, the individual working was on his phone. It took a while before he was able to set down his phone and take our order.After ordering, he made the food and proceeded to put garlic on both before asking us about hot sauce. While I understand garlicis standard, it would have been nice to have the option to opt out. Rating for service: 0/5. It felt like we were doingsomething wrong by coming in and ordering. As we are a young couple I can only imagine this is the treatment anyone who lookslike they are in high school receives. The salad was very salty, the potatoes were bland and mushy, the chicken was very dry,and the rice and garlic sauce had no flavour. I don't like to say bad things about restaurants, but the customer service is seriously lacking in this place! Food is good but... they need to work on communication. Customers don't owe you orders, and they would actually come back if the customer servicewas great! So used to going to friendly shawarma places, that this was a little bit of a let down. The french fries and garlicsauce were good, but the other food was just fine and ordinary shawarma. Read more
