If you love burgers but don't like your burger to be the fast food kind like McDonald's or BK, then you'll love Ember's Grill.... Ilove this place. It's usually quiet inside and the inside is very well cleaned. Their burgers are great. If it's one thing thatthrew me off is the cheesecake. I was hoping the strawberry cheesecake would have strawberry sauce and chunks, but instead itjust has a small amount of strawberry sauce on a plain cheesecake. I?ve had my fair share of hamburgers in the Augusta area because it?s my favorite food, and I keep returning to Ember?s. The... ingredients are fresh and the burger is always cooked perfectly. It?s not swimming in condiments and it?s not salty. It?s just aperfect and simple hamburger. The beef patty is thick while the bun is lightly toasted. Plus when you dine-in they have a 2burgers for $7 special. You can?t beat the price and you definitely can?t beat the flavor. Even when my family has ordereddelivery the quality is still the same. Highly recommend the peanut butter pie. Cobbler was okay (Mom's is better, of course, lol) The burgers were amazing! Crispy,... fresh vegetables, perfectly done meat with great flavour, and a very nice, soft bun! I should ding them for their fry cookthough; over half the fries were so overcooked as to be inedible, but it was *right* before closing time and I'm sure they'reshorthanded (everyone is!) That being said, the ones you could eat were pretty good, the potato is almost sweet. Onion ringswere similarly overdone, and I was a little disappointed in the quantity for a large, especially compared to the fries. Theywere good tho It took less than 20 minutes for 4 burgers, a platter, sides and dessert, and it was all hot and freshlyprepared. We'll be back! Read more
I moved into the area a few weeks ago, and drive past this place every day to and from work at Fort Gordon. I have been wanting... to try it, so today I gave it a go on the way home. I got a double burger meal for myself, the patty melt meal for my wife andthe grilled cheese meal for my daughter. Everyone LOVED it! It was absolutely delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Uponentering the place, I immediately felt at home, from the nice wall décor to the pleasant and QUIET atmosphere, to the friendlygentleman behind the counter (who also happened to be the owner). The food was made to order but still ready in just a fewminutes! The next time I come here, which will be soon, the family and I are going to go and sit down inside. I've passed this place numerous times and always told myself "I gotta give them a try". I was NOT disappointed. When you order a... burger, THEY????????GIVE????????YOU????????A????????BURGER!! Food is good. Bacon cheese burgers good and juicy. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was my onion rings were very soggy greasy. ... They always have great fries and onion rings. Service great. Atmosphere is nice and we very seldom see it crowded. The greatthing is they have a outside window for ordering take out. Read more
