Being a long time customer of, both, the original Orcutt Burger and Santa Maria Burger. (I know, they have different owners.)... I'd have to say I'm disappointed with the AG location. It seems like it has been under construction for an awfully long time,though I don't think it has. It's dirty and it doesn't have a real good feel. The portions are smaller than they used to be. The zucchini fries are very good. Next time, I'll probably just make the trip to Santa Maria instead. Read more
Have been extremely disappointed in the food quality in the past few years. Tonight I just wanted a few chicken strips and was... suprised at the total being almost $8 for 3 small strips. Ok, I get it, food prices are through the roof right now and I'm alsowilling to pay a little more to ensure the employees are paid a living wage. But I couldn't even eat the food, I almost crackeda tooth on one and they were so dry and hard that they were inedible. Easily the worst chicken strip I have ever had. I grew upgoing to the orcutt location and it's been very disappointing to see this location go downhill. I'd give it 1 star but theemployees are very nice and always very professional. Read more

The only reason I'm giving this place three stars is because the burgers and fries were actually really good. Now, if you're... just going for the food and you can ignore everything else, I recommend it. But we traveled all the way from Fresno to eat here,and the cooks kept giving us dirty looks and staring and talking smack in Spanish like we couldn't understand; the cashierlooked like she was on drugs. Her eyes were red and swollen and her pupils were maxed out like my credit cards. The colors andthe atmosphere are dull and uninviting, and I didn't want to stay to eat inside. When you have a business location in such abeautiful place as Pismo Beach, you'd think you'd want to spend more money making the place look lively, comfortable andwelcoming. This place looked as dull and depressing as Kurt Cobain's music. I just don't get why a place with such good foodthat must make a lot of money can't afford at least a paint job and some happier employees. Read more

I have eaten here many times, including the original in Orcutt. I was working on phase one of Rice Ranch. A burger and fries at... Orcutt Burger was solid. It was busy and the town loved the joint. My experience a few days ago was unfortunately not as good. Igot the bacon breakfast burrito. It was hot and the portion was more than enough by weight. When eating it could have used somemore bacon and less mushy, un seasoned potatoes. The straw that broke the back was all the salsa was at one end. This is atraining issue. I want people to eat here. I made this review as a wake up call to owner and management. Once an employee walksin the door payroll is running. Make sure they are competent, don't leave it to another employee or think they will catch on.Please do not shun this place for this review it was meant as a teaching moment. I will be back for a burger for sure. Read more
