Been coming here for several years. Ever since covid, the quality of food has gone downhill. The gumbo has always been a... favorite of mine, but the past few visits it has not been the same. I was just in last night, myself and my friend had the sameorder. The gumbo was watery and greasy, the fish was slightly undercooked. I asked for extra rice, but they did not haveanything as it is already pre-made. I didn?t know there was a second Luxe location (Birmingham is other location). We were searching for food and decided a... delicious burger would do the trick. Luckily, it wasn?t busy when we arrived. I ordered the Luxe Burger with a side of fries.My kid ordered hers with Mac. The burgers were fantastic, so juicy. I loved that I got a thick slice of tomato instead of a thinflimsy piece that looks rotten. The ribs were also delicious and tender! 1st time visiting this place with a friend. Went for lunch as we figured that would be the least crowded especially now during... this COVID pandemic. Proper social distancing in place so we stayed. Outside seating was a little full so we chose inside.Atmosphere was great. Our greeter & waitress was really nice & friendly. Drinks (Apple Martini?s) were great! Food was awesome(Chicken Marsala) and seasoned to perfection. My friend ordered a burger but didn?t like the house sauce that came on it and thewaitress happily took the burger & replaced it with a new burger without the house sauce. The waitress was very attentive to ourneeds and often checked in with us. We were not rushed out after eating & after paying our bill we decided to spend someadditional time sitting outside chatting before leaving since space was available and it had slowed down a bit. Was my first visit here, was greeted shortly after coming in the door and was seated shortly after that. Ordered the Mahi... sandwich, Sweet potato fries, and a pineapple margarita, Both were of good quality and tasted great, and my friend seemed toenjoy their food as well. I made some tweaks to my order and they were very accommodating which was greatly appreciated, Ididn't get the bartenders name, but the servers name was Christine, who was very polite and super attentive, will be back again!
