Three of us went on a Friday night. Very busy, but we were brought to the back of the restaurant. Not noisy at all. Our waitress... promptly brought our menus. Gave us a few minutes and returned to get our drink orders. We all knew what we wanted to eat so weordered. We all got the fish and chips which arrived pretty quick. We all enjoyed the meal. Great atmosphere excellent food and wonderful warm service! Great pub, super clean and welcoming, our dinner was excellent. ... This was our third visit to the Judge and Jester. There was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke as soon as you enter the bar... from the Main Street. Apparently the tenants upstairs are heavy smokers and somehow the smoke gets into the Lounge area! Foodwas pretty good, service was quick and efficient, prices were normal standard pub prices but the smell of smoke is so disgustingit only gets two stars and we won't be going back. Read more
The service wasn't bad and the staff is quite friendly, but it was quite slow even though the place was nearly empty, and the... food was nothing to write home about. When my chicken finally came, there was a long piece of hair in my food. Overall a badexperience. The menu is also quite small, with few options that sound appetizing. Would not recommend going to this place, thereare many far better restaurants in Grimsby. Read more
My family and I enjoyed Wednesday Wing at the Judge and Jester this evening. We had a small pitcher of beer, a kids meal and... three pounds of wings for $56.00. We have not spent that little at a restaurant since well before the beginning of the pandemic.I enjoyed the food quality and value, we will definately return. Read more
Visited this pub with a couple of guests from overseas to experience some Canadian cuisine and hospitality. We were completely... satisfied. Lunch suggestions were well prepared pub fare, ambience was soft pleasing and unrushed. Nice restaurant for a visitwith friends or family alike!! Read more
Ordered family meal deal #2 tonight that included two fish and chips and two kids meals. Husband and I agreed that fish was very... good, and quite a sizeable piece for each of us (see picture). Way too many French fries though. French fries could have beencrispier and I needed to add salt. Meal came with coleslaw but the lid was not on securely, so when I went to pick it up out ofthe take out box, it spilled all over our kitchen floor. Oh well! Our son liked his chicken fingers. Had to provide our ownketchup at home. Our son said he would have it again, but with less fries. Total for the meal deal was $44.99 plus tax. Prettygood value. Read more
I had the chicken wings, dry and hot. The quality of the wings was top notch, extra veggies and awesome blue cheese dip. My... friend had the homemade chicken pot pie!
