Reviews for Buster's Texas Style Barbecue in Gresham, OR
Food came cold and little to no flavor simply average yet the charge nearly $5 a piece of chicken. Was quoted one price for... order out and way more later when picked up. Management shrugged me off and trued to justify the price. Had I been toldcorrectly I would have went elsewhere. Overpriced on average food. Read more
Clean, organized, did not break the bank. Food was great(except for the green beans they are just nasty), the brisket was fork... tender, the potato salad was awesome. We will eat there again. Read more

I LOVE a good barbecue place! However, Busters is a bit hit or miss. This trip was no different. The spare ribs were dry but... tasted good. I like their spicy BBQ sauce. It made the ribs okay. The brisket was a bit sub par... it was cut un chunks and notin strips like brisket should be. The hot sausage links are awesome. The baked beans were really good and the potato salad wastops on the list. My wife's chicken was dry and the beef rib looked a little pitiful but some of it was okay. Speaking ofchicken, on the menu it is listed as a 1/2 chicken but it's actually a quarter chicken. She ended up with the white portion. Nother favorite. Would I be back? I probably would. I've been there in the past and it was much better. Read more
The pork spareribs, pulled pork, sausage & 1/2 chicken was so delicious, nice smoky flavor and the meat was so tender. For the... sides, I got the mashed potatoes, baked beans & Mac n cheese and each side was delicious as well. My whole family loved thefood. A little pricing but the food was so good. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you. Read more
There is a difference in what people's definition of BBQ is as you travel around the country. But Texas BBQ is the standard by... which other's are judged. How this place exists in Portland is a mystery to me. Pre pandemic a buddy and I were looking for aplace for lunch and Buster's sounded good. 2 years later and worth the wait. Real BBQ brisket, I do the sandwich chopped, beansand sweet tea. Real southern sweet tea. Full condiment bar with sauces and pickles. I need to go back and try the chocolatecream pie. Great attitude, good prices, mmmmmmm good. Put your boots on, amble in, stroll out satisfied. Read more
Have always love this place, the people, the food, the atmosphere. Have left good reviews but this time. Wow. Saturday I called... to place a take out order because I wanted to get in and out without waiting because I was very short on time. (Throwing my dada 75th but had to get something for my husband to eat as he was going back to work)The guy who answered the phone left me onhold for over 8 min. I pulled in and got in line whike staying on the phone (just to see)and still no return to the phone I thenwatched him pick up the phone, say nothing and hung up. I told him That was rude and he said my bad I forgot I'd assumed you'dgiven up. I replied but you did not even check before you hung up and he said "well you must have been close" with just thesnotiest air, like I should be over it since he said he forgot so what if he did not check before he hung up, I did not sayanything else to him, I felt like he was being condescending when he told me to have a nice night (i said nothing back, justleft)Because he did not pick back up the phone that time cost me and made me late to my dad's 75th surprise birthday party. Ithink I would have been over it if there had been True contrition on his part. Other employees still great. I think he mightactually be assistant manager. Sad. Read more
