OMGOSH the fried rolls!!! ???? C'mon let's just stay there a second or two...they come to the table piping hot with delicious... cinnamon butter ???? to start off your meal. Our waitress made sure to give us a "warning" with each batch we requested. Theprices are beyond reasonable especially when they offer Sunday specials. We left full and completely satisfied. Fatz was fabulous. We were seated in less than a minute. Our waitress was awesome, friendly, helpful with suggestions, knew the... menu. Food was great. Order was correct and fast. Rolls were brought immediately. Manager came out to tables to check oneveryone, make sure everyone is happy. Read more
Was pleased to find a Fatz Cafe in the area as they have become more sparse over the years, especially in Georgia. The poppyseed... rolls were just as great as I remember; nice and flaky on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, and served with thedelicious cinnamon butter. We had calabash chicken tenders, onion rings, and fries as our ?appetizer?. The tenders and onionrings were solid, and the fries were about what you?d expect. For my entrée, I opted to try their ?Southern Sunday? special,and had the country fried steak with mac and cheese and broccoli. The country fried steak was great, seasoned well, friedperfectly with a good crunch, good flavor in the meat and gravy. The broccoli was cooked well, not too hard but not mushy. Themac and cheese was probably the weakest link; it was creamy, but didn?t taste that cheesy. We eat at Fatz here in Greenwood SC quite often and have always enjoyed it. Never had a problem with the food being cold or... order not right. Our server?s name is Kylie and she made a good impression on us her first time so we always ask for her when wego. She is very friendly and attentive to us without being bothersome like some places can be. She always smiles and makeseveryone feel at ease, very good working with the public which isn?t always easy. My family and I celebrated my niece's birthday here at Fatz and it was a great experience. The kitchen area was short staffed,... so our meals took a little while (which was understandable). Very friendly country people!! Food most of the time is good but one exception please redo your rice pilaf recipe cause it is... definitely not authentic pilaf!! Except for The Outback having the best steak in town Fatz is 2nd best!! My son is a steak manthat cooks like a seasoned chef when it comes to steak and smoking food so he knows what he's talking about!
