First time at the Crystal Grill. Great service from Ms. Sabrina. I had the lunch catfish Creole and it was very good. Not really... what I expected the sauce was more sweet, but she had warned us about that. The creamed corn was great. Would definitely returnif in Greenwood. Read more
I met friends for lunch at this iconic restaurant in my hometown, and it never fails to please. It's always a toss-up between... ordering the filet, fried shrimp or catfish. I chose the smaller dinner shrimp with no shells and they were perfect. A dessertwas included with the meal which I gave to my friends! I've been going there since I was a child and can honestly say that youcan't go wrong with anything on their menu. I never thought I would say anything positive about this place but the service and food (try the dressing)were great and the... atmosphere has that Ole south feel to it which I loved . I'm from Greenwood so I know a lot about the history of The CrystalGrill and as a African American I will never forget but I will let the pass be the pass. Read more
This is a gem of a restaurant in the middle of Mississippi well worth a little detour off the highway drive from New Orleans to... St Louis ! I googled best pie in Mississippi & found this place! Mind you the sign says Crystal Cafe! They have diner optionsand then a fancier finer dining options! They also have a relatively full bar in their back dining area too! I've been going to Crystal Grill for a couple of years now! I live an hour away and loved to go there just to eat! The food is... always good and the service has always been good! I was very disappointed on yesterday! We did Dine-in and also ordered takeout! One of my take out orders (Catfish platter) was not fresh and I only asked can I have it fresh before the owner told me hewould not drop fresh fish just for me! I tried to explain and show him what I meant when I said the fish was old and refriedbut instead he got upset and snatched my plate and told me it was my fault the fish was dry because I asked for it to be alittle crispy. He warned the waitress not to take it off my bill but yet didn't replace my food or offer me another dish! Ididn't feel that was right by any means! Being a business owner you should make sure your customers are satisfied at all times. I hate I had to experience that but I will never go back.
