Went in for lunch.. the line is stupid, you have to stand in line to pay then stand in line again to present your order to... someone to put together.. it took me about thirty minutes to get through the line. During my visit to see my daughter and her family in Greenville, I chose to visit this popular chain of Mexican oriented... products stores to buy a specific item, which I did find. There are many such stores in the Houston and surrounding area where Ilive. This La Michoacana store was well stocked in all areas, especially the meat market, and had prices on some produce andproducts that were lower than one of the largest retail stores in the area. It blows my mind as to how this is possible, butnonetheless, the store was clean and orderly. My temptation to order at the taqueria was curbed by my thoughts of an alreadyprepared meal at home. The taqueria food is always so good and authentic to boot. The only downfall this Sunday was that therewas only one cashier during a busy period. Other than this, my visit was a good experience. My daughter and her husbandfrequently shop this store for Mexican products that other local grocers do not stock. I will return to do business with thisstore. Read more
The food was very good we got the Barbacoa street tacos. I have dentures and so it's difficult sometimes for me to eat different... foods. These tacos though were absolutely awesome I was able to eat them with no problem I would highly recommend and going tothis restaurant. Read more
The market is fantastic! The selection of meats and produce are extensive, the quality and freshness blows the competition out... of the water! The store is always clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I always enjoy shopping at La Michoacana! Read more
Clean, quiet place. Not much of a wait. I visited on a Sunday and a Monday morning. The only reason I gave three stars was... because the barbacoa was not shredded, more like blended to a liquid and then a few big chunks. I have never seen it like thatbefore, I did not like that. Read more
Love this market for meat. They have the best marinated hamburger for tacos and nachos. Watermelon drink in the deli is the... best thing I have had in a long time. Homemade flan in individual serving containers is the go to for me. Don't skip the bakerydisplay. It is worth a peek. Read more
Great store! Super clean! Great meat selection and always fresh produce! I would shop here on a regular basis but the staff is... very rude and extremely racist. It is mostly the women that will not even look at you if you are not Hispanic. I own a businessin town and myself and my entire staff treat everyone with respect, race and color are irrelevant. We are ALL equal. I think themanagement should insure that ALL customers are treated with respect at this store. My money spends the same way yours does andI would spend a lot more here if it was a more pleasant place to shop attitude wise. Read more
The food tastes good but the prices are pretty high though. I paid $17 for a 32 ounce cup of menudo ( which they tried to tell... me that I didn?t order) and 2 tacos. That?s pretty high. And I didn?t see ANY of the workers there smile one time while I wasthere. Read more
