Greenville standby for American Asian cuisine. Occupying a former pizza restaurant (look up to see the giant pizza-like light... fixtures), Red Bowl has consistently great service, a reasonably diverse menu, and large portion sizes at surprisingly low pricefor 2022. Seating feels spacious compared to the majority of Greenville's Asian restaurant offerings. The menu IS diverse, but,Red Bowl does not give you wings, contrary to advertising. (This is a joke.) My wife and I have been coming to this Red Bowl since we started dating in 2015. It?s always been our casual date spot and will... continue to be. Typically the staff is great and the food is very good and well priced. I typically get the General Tao?s or RedBowl Fried Rice. The egg rolls are a MUST HAVE. I've been here twice and both times I've really enjoyed the food. They are timely with getting the food out and it's good... eating. The reason for 4 stars was the wait staff didn't really seem to care about the experience he was giving or wasoverwhelmed. When our food was delivered he just put the food down in front of whoever letting us sort it out. Not a big dealbut odd since wait staff will usually ask "who got...." Consistently good service on evenings and weekends. This seems to be when the wait staff that's been there the longest works.... The service at lunch on weekdays have been hit or miss, especially with new servers. So if you're impatient about someonelearning, it may not be the best time for you to go. The food is highly recommended! My husband and kids love the egg rolls andthe egg drop soup. I enjoy the spring rolls and salad with their ginger dressing. We've gone many many many times and never hadanything taste bad. If it's your first time, I recommend getting the Bento Box. It is a lot of food for the price, and willallow you to sample their egg/spring rolls, sushi, and an entre with a side of rice. It's very customized to what you order. Ifyou're not sure about trying sushi, the New York fried roll is a good place to start. BEWARE if you have a gluten allergy. As you can see from the pictures, the person who took my order was correct in listing my... order as GF. HOWEVER, the shrimp in my Singapore rice noodle is breaded. I'm confused because the last time I ordered this, theshrimp was not breaded and it was very tasty. This time, it's breaded, I ate one and I am bloated a half hour later so I suspectthe flour wasn't GF. Thankfully, I don't have a gluten allergy - it just doesn't agree with me. They have a wide range of menu items including sushi and an exceptional GLUTEN FREE selection. They have 2 roll and 3 roll... sushi lunch specials. Also there are free drinks with entrees on Sundays. One drink per entree. The staff is awesome and thebathrooms are always clean. Read more
