Reviews for Mr. Crisp in Greenville, SC
Top notch experience from the cocktails to the food. Seafood was fresh, appreciated the attention to detail with the ingredients... and unique flavors. A great addition to the overbrook area Read more
We had a great experience! Food was delicious (raw oysters, snapper appetizer, fish and chips, roasted summer squash and corn,... and the Vietnamese salad) as were our cocktails and the service. Only thing I?d do differently next time is hold off on addingthe fish to the salad. Loved everything else and left full. Read more
Cool vibes and friendly service. Cocktails, apps and entrees were great. The drinks and wine on the menu weren?t too sweet, and... they paired great with all the dishes????. Go if you love oysters! Read more

Recently went to Mr. Crisp for a girls night and had the most amazing experience! The ambiance is beautiful and the staff were... so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was the best seafood I?ve had in a long time. The caviar service was delicious and theoysters were fresh with multiple options. The fish and chips were the perfect portion and the malt vinegar aoili was such a funpairing with it! I cannot recommend going here enough, you will not be disappointed! Read more
To sum it up: uninspiring. I saw a blip in my news feed about a new seafood restaurant open for business near my home, so I... excitedly made the trip to try out their fare after reading the menu and expecting something fabulous. It was... ok. Friendly, prompt service, beautiful layout, perfect for a casual dinner date, but do NOT go expecting true English style fish and chips, nor select oysters ... Drinks were on point, I had the Zombie, my date had the Gin Mule, both were great Appetizer consistedof oysters and hush puppies... The oysters we selected were the Beavertails, which were supposed to be rich and flavorful... What we had were anemic skimpy tiny oysters at a top shelf price. Tasty but very, very little oyster was consumed and manytiny seafood jokes were cracked(see picture) Hush puppies were surprisingly delicious. Served with a malt vinegar aioli whichencouraged me to consider the Fish and Chips as a main course. Our main consisted of -Mussels in an aji amarillo sauce -delicious... Good size, good flavor. -Yellowtail fish which was served in a deep cafeteria style plate making the dish look likemuch less than it could have been, also skimping on portion size didn't help at all. Taste was ok, but looked uninspired.. I'lljust wait and enjoy truly tasty raw yellowtail at my favorite sushi restaurant next time. -Eagerly waiting for the final mainwas our "large" order of Fish and Chips! Fail... 28$ for a portion of fish which was, in my opinion, undersized for the askingprice (see picture with size of small bread loaf for comparison)..a pair of 4oz portions constitutes a large? To make thingseven sadder, the breading was too salty which always makes one wonder about the quality of the fish... don't even get me startedon the "mushy" peas; they were basically thawed out of a freezer and placed in a container with no flavor, mushiness or focus onanything English except for the freezer burn aroma. Note to management, if you're going to hi Read more
The fish and chips were delicious and the hush puppies were also good. We will be back for sure.
Honestly I was a bit apprehensive about trying this restaurant. After looking over the menu I though it may be a little... expensive for a "fish an chips" kinda place. But I'm here to tell you it's very much more than that! First off it's very niceinside and relaxing atmosphere. Staff is super nice and attentive. We started off with the Marinated White Anchovies, mostlybecause I like trying new items. It was so good! Just a tad salty, maby a lite brine taste would be a better description. Theother items on the plate just add to the flavor. Next was Moules Frites, which is mussels with a wonderful wine sauce again, very good. And of course the Fish & Chips had to be tried... it did not disappoint, the malt vinegar aioli was perfect for thisitem. After all that we barley had room for dessert. Glad we did because we split the Toffee Pudding. It's caramel sauce toppingand ice cream was a great way to finish a great meal! We'll definitely be going back. Read more
