I first saw this place on Instagram and made a decision to check it out. Today was that day. Monica was my server. Monica was so... knowledgeable and just beautiful and amazing herself. What an amazing place to dine. From the decor to the beautiful dessertthat welcome you at the door. The food delicious and so authentic. The taste was exquisite. I will definitely be back. We had a great night at Basilico ???? Our server was super nice; she made a lovely birthday plate for my friend ???? Blueberry... cheesecake was amazing but do not recommend their tiramisu! The food was good but not the best Italian food we had in the area. Read more

We went for a late lunch-early dinner. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly guy in the front and some amazing... desserts in the dessert case. He and the wait staff were very warm and friendly. I was very surprised just how many serversthere were for this medium-sized restaurant. There were six total, one nicer than the next. We started out with the appetizersampler. Very delicious. A tiny bit overdone, but everything was nice and crispy. The tomato sauce for dipping was very good,too. After the appetizer we decided to split a Caesar salad. Also delicious. I was a little surprised the dressing was on theside but that was fine. Lots of slivers of cheese on the salad which made it extra yummy.. Instead of trying any of thefantastic looking entrees on the menu, we went with pizza. We asked for mushrooms and sausage. This has to be one of the bestpizzas we've had since moving to Greenville 6 years ago. The sausage was sliced not crumbles. The crust was thin, crispy yetfluffy and airy. It truly was perfect. Not a lot of sauce on this pizza but if you like cheese, this is the place togo! Something else we noticed that was really great about the atmosphere. The music. It was all popular songs you wouldrecognize, but done by female artists in a jazz- bossa nova style. It really helped make the ambiance special and relaxing. Ifound the place quite accidentally by just searching "pizza near me" when we were by the mall, and Basilico popped up. It hadgreat reviews, so that's why we decided to try it. I was absolutely blown away by the food, the atmosphere, the music, and the service! Chris was our server. He was so polite and... pleasant to have assist us with our wine, food recommendations, and desert choices. He definitely went out of his way to makesure everything was pleasant. The baked bread with the fetta/yogurt spread was delicious, it was seasond and had a nice heat toit. The entrée portion sizes were perfect! They definitely make sure that even if you don't get desert, you won't leavehungry. The lasagna was huge, and the meat sauce was probably the best ive had at a restaurant. The chicken piccata wasdelicious, fresh capers with a light and zesty lemon butter sauce. Simply perfect meals. We did order desert, and WOW! Thesewere probably the best desserts we've had anywhere. The cheesecake was savory, with the sweetest fresh strawberries, and waspresented beautifully. The tiramisu was fantastic too! The lady fingers were light and airy, with just the right amount ofmarscapone, a delicate sweetness and didn't leave that heavy feeling that many deserts do after a large meal. Id you're in thearea and looking for a place that really cares about the type of food they serve, definitely stop by. Due to a high rating on Yelp - I decided to try this place in my search for a high quality Italian restaurant. Wow...This is... now my go to place for great atmosphere service and very hight food quality. I took a special friend who is a native NewYorker and of Italian-American decent. She totally approved of this place - Daniel was our server - he was terrific, Ask forhim.. The atmosphere was charming, warm and welcoming. Went for lunch on a Monday and it was busy. That says a lot right there. They are located in an older plaza but don't be fooled... by their building. The food and service was top notch. You can get a great deal by ordering their lunch specials. We orderedan appetizer, lunch special and a dinner plate. Next time I'm in the vicinity I will definitely eat there again. Read more
