Tried this restaurant for lunch because it is close to work and it serve country food so I was thinking it won't be hard to mess... up. They have a to go kitchen up front. And dine in has a cafeteria style line. So many entree options, ribs, meatloaf, friedchicken , pig tails ....I didn't see any chicken dumplings though. Food doesn't taste bad but not the best country food I hadeither. Food taste kinda bland, but they give you huge portions, $11 your box is full. Depends how sensitive your stomach is,pick the entree and sides that more lean otherwise you might get bloated like me . Old Ryan buffet is better to me, as acomparison. This place was a very pleasant surprise. I was in town for business and thought I would give it a try. The folks were extremely... friendly and polite, and were very patient with my first-timer questions. It is not very often these days to see restaurantemployees who are smiling and pleasant to interact with. These folks were exactly that. The food was just as good as theirattitudes. Very well made southern comfort food. The beef over rice and greens were delicious, and I will try their BBQ andchicken next trip. Read more
Out of town and went there solely off of Google reviews which seemed to be okay, maybe If the staff was friendly I would have... gave them a pass, but they were not. I should have heeded the other one star but I figured I would give them a shot cuz youknow... "Karen's". We went to eat the cafeteria side but they were only serving burgers and hot dogs at that point of the day.The burger, hot dogs and fries is overpriced sad looking and tasting like cardboard, I ordered a coffee for my mom and dad, thecashier said I could go behind the counter and serve myself..... I go to Peadens solely for their sweet potato biscuits (about $2 each) so I can?t really review much on other food items. I... tried their plain biscuit sandwich once and it was really dry and not good at all so I?m apprehensive to try anything else. Thesweet potato biscuits are very tasty. Best I?ve had during my time here in NC. Didn?t give 5 stars because the drive thru isalwayssss slow no matter the time of day. This is Pre and post pandemic. I try to get there first thing in the morning (theyopen at 5am) and it?s still really slow. Go when you have time to wait. Read more
I lived in Greenville for 6 years but didn't end up trying it until after I moved which was a mistake. It's hard to find home... cooked meals like this. All of my food was very good although I ordered the fish which wasn't hot right at 12 which may bebecause it isn't ordered as much as other main courses but was still good. I also like that style of cornbread, definitely onthe sweet side but went well with everything especially the mashed potatoes. My friend got the Mac n cheese which looked awesomeand he said it was. This was my first time going here but I would certainly return. As seen in the pictures it gets really busyaround 12 so I wouldn't recommend if you are in a hurry. I wanna try their breakfast! Peaden?s is a breakfast and lunch diner with good prices and great food. It is all familiar items from cheese biscuits to hot... dogs. I will add a few pics of the menu. If you?re in the area, grab some grub here and you won?t be disappointed. The last timewe when, they we out of what we ordered...it?s was late in the morning...they made up for it in a big way...they are the bestplace in Greenville to buy breakfast, hands down. Read more
