Reviews for AMF East Carolina Lanes in Greenville, NC
We had a lot of fun bowling. The prices are kind of high to me...Sunday before 6pm it was about $6.59/game/person + $5.50/shoe... rental (or close to that)... The employees were great. The food was pretty good, but again, a bit pricey. The place was cleanfrom the bowling area, sitting area to the shoes. I was happy overall for my family, but the pricing is why I give them 4 starsand not 5. Read more
The staff here is terrific.. I went here recently with my two adult children and one of their friends when I was in town.. we... had an excellent time. It was very clean and sanitary. The staff was a complete delight. And they had excellent movies showingon each lane while we bowled. The price is very reasonable.. would definitely recommend and will be going again myself. Our lane kept breaking. After paying $75 to bowl one game we were told our 10 year old couldn't use the bumpers. There were... three other lanes around us with high school aged kids using bumpers. Pretty much ruined bowling for my daughter so we won't bereturning. After asking the third time they did let us use the bumpers for the last three frames. Read more
Came on a Wednesday night and I am beyond disappointed. First off I was on a two person game on lane 29. We had major problems... the whole night, I hit the call button too many times for comfort. The pins kept messing up and I had to reach out after everyround. For two people the games should of went by many times but we only got to bowl twice. When I informed one of the staff, heseem irritated and informed me that the building was old and there was nothing to be done. Basically just deal with it. I cameout for a fun night and instead I was frustrated the whole time. The computers have been updated but I guess funds aren?t thereto update lanes. So I?m putting that into suggestion. Read more
This place is older, needs a little renovation in my opinion. The bathrooms presented themselves as clean but smelt horrible.... News to me, the guard rails cannot be put up unless a kid under age of 10 requested. More than half the games in the arcade wereout of order and everything felt sticky from a cleaning residue. The manager was super helpful and very polite! Read more
Looking for a fun and reasonable couples outing? Bowling ain?t it anymore - greedy or price gouging. Just TOO daggone... expensive! You?re charged double for one game essentially. It?s still just one game but they charge each individual forplaying in that same one game @ $6.89 per person. So we mistakenly thought we could afford to go once a week per theiradvertising, but no way. By the time we rented shoes and bought food? two games of bowling was $60.00. Additionally, the guybehind the counter was rude, seemed angry - no greeting, no friendly smile, there was no one else in line behind us, yet heprodded us as if WE were disturbing HIM (from his cell phone). God forbid we asked him a question. Considering the cost ofbusiness, I can see an additional charge for groups or something, etc?. Maybe they should find ways to make it more affordable;all around (food choices too) then folks could go more often. Thanks! Read more
Took my 3 yr old here for some Friday fun. Friendly staff, clean building, decent food. The bowling lanes and equipment are very... kid friendly. My son loved this outing. The only thing I didn?t like was the arcade area. I spent about $20 and my son probablyplayed a total of 1 minute worth of games. It?s $5 per 10 credits but each game cost 3-9 credits and literally the games lastfor about 5-10 seconds. Very scam like. If you?re going to have an arcade for kids to enjoy, then let that be the base of havingan arcade, instead of just trying to make a quick buck off of parents and kids. Other than the arcade, 10/10 bowling experience. Read more
I bowl in a league here at these lanes. For an alley of this size, I'm surprised it has so many flaws. Having to call back for... a stuck ball or resetting of a pin are commonplace in most alleys. I've bowled here for a quarter of a season and never had toask for help as many times as we did last night. We repeatedly asked to be moved because the pinsetters kept failing. That wasdenied every time though. At one point we went 15 minutes with no one doing anything to fix the woes. In the 30 frames webowled, 28 or 29 of those had issues. There were two other pairs of lanes that were "down" and the lanes we were on should havebeen too. If you are an owner of these lanes, I hope you read this and spend some money to fix your machines. Bowling issupposed to be fun and not stressful. Also, on a league night, you should turn off the house music, that ought to be automatic. Read more
