We drive from Ahoskie, NC about an hour drive just to eat here a couple of times a month. They have the best catfish and Mac and... cheese. Their flounder is also good but I tried the shrimp and I didn?t care for it because they use the large shrimp and theyalways come out tough. We normally dine in and then order a box of catfish to take home. It?s so good when you have an air fryeryou warm it up and it?s just like it is fresh at the restaurant. Read more
Had the pleasure of eating here today. I got the shrimp and catfish basket and it was excellent. The collards, for my side dish,... were some of the best I have ever eaten.There was enough food for two meals. Nicole took our order with a smile and was veryhelpful. Had a Chance to take my family to eat at 42 Fry after purchasing a vehicle from the owner Monte Williams. Wow! What a surprise!... The food was amazingly good! Cook perfectly and seasoned just right! Our daughter is a freshman and signed with ECU women?sbasketball team and I can promise you each time we come to Greenville NC to see her play we will be visiting 42 Fry each time! 5Star restaurant all day! 42 Fry was given to me at work. Everybody was like go to 42 Fry if you want some fried fish or just seafood period. They talked... about this place with so much excitement that I have no other choice but to try this place. I went online and placed an orderfor fried trout extra crispy, jumbo shrimps, boneless chicken, sweet potato pie. Everybody, everything was warm to the touch andvery tasty. I mean, I do believe that they have the best seafood yet. Not salty at all. I enjoyed my food from this place andsee the pictures I have taken after getting my food. All this food came to $45.00, and I was pleased, so it was worth this priceto me. I will be ordering again in the future. Ordered Again, Date: 06/26/2021 Today I order again, and this time something wasoff like the trout tasting fishy or weird not fresh to me, it didn't taste like this the first time, and they forgot my sweetpotato pie that I ordered. I really don't know what to say, is that this time the food was okay and not as good as the firsttime. I added more pictures from this last order. Here's my issues, forgetting something from someone's order is not good at all. I don't know what was going on, but I paid a good amount of money and for them to forget any item from my order is notokay. I paid over $50.00 which included the tip for the delivery driver. This was my first time eating here since moving closer to Greenville but it will certainly not be my last! The restaurant is... incredibly clean and everyone was super nice and seemed like they genuinely enjoy working here. I ordered a basket of flounderand shrimp with sweet potato fries and it was absolutely delicious! Pretty much everywhere I go since moving down south servestheir fried flounder with the skin still on, so I was elated that theirs is skin free! I also don't know what they put in theirspecial sauce but I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Do not sleep on this place! Read more
