The first thing I noticed about this place is the smell in the air! It lured me in and the second thing I noticed was how clean... it is inside! The owner is a really nice guy! The price is fair for seafood and what you get is definitely worth it! Eaten herea few times and I will happily be returning! Everything has been fresh, cooked perfectly and seasoned well! I love that theymake little holes on the lids so the fried stuff doesn't get soggy! It feels like they really enjoy cooking the food and puttingout great product and you can tell! I really love this place. It's just a little corner shop but it's always sparkling clean and inviting. You're greeted by... relaxing smooth jazz when you enter and staff is courteous and welcoming. We typically get the flounder, fried and seasoned justright! Meals are prepared when ordered so Never cold. Fries and slaw are both really good. And they offer other sides like friedcorn, mac and cheese and greens. Besides fish they serve fried chicken and chicken tenders. You can also get Greek or a niceHouse salad plus Strawberry Short Cake or Banana Pudding for dessert. So far, the only thing that I haven't cared for were theoysters. I was honestly quite surprised that a seafood restaurant was open at 10am. I wasn't expecting much when I arrived at 10:15am on... a Saturday morning, but I was surprised to see a few customers already seated and eating brunch/lunch. I have never been to a"fast-food" seafood restaurant before, so I asked the cashier what the top dishes were. She gave me 3 options to choose from,and I decided to go with the catfish plate that comes with 1 side and a few hushpuppies. For my side option, I opted for the macand cheese since I wanted something carb-heavy to balance out the fried fish. The fish was full of flavor - the outside had anice crispy texture and the inside was extremely tender. The seasoning was superb and wasn't salty at all. I didn't feel like Ihad to chug 3 cups of water while eating my meal, which is always considered a win in my book. The mac and cheese had awonderful, deep cheesy flavor. The hushpuppies had a nice crust and warm, soft dough on the inside. The cashier also came up tome before I started eating and offered ketchup, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. I dont eat seafood, but my friend does. I always hesitate ordering anything fried but I took the chance on the fried okra and... let me tell you that they were fantastic, only ones better is the ones we cook at our monthly fundraiser. They were deliciousdid not have any hint of seafood being cooked in the same kitchen which is amazing in itself. The place was clean and the staffwas friendly and helped us with the menu. I always pass this place and have wanted to try it, well today I was bold and tried it out!! I must say the establishment is... very clean and the customer service is awesome. Food was delivered hot. The popcorn shrimp is obviously not hand breaded or even seasoned as it is in the pic on their website.... It’s the same frozen stuff you can buy at any grocery store for cheaper and it’s tasteless. Don’t waste your money. Friesare barely seasoned and a little soggy from the steam. Amazing food and amazing staff. I cant say enough about the customer service and the quality of food. I will definitely visit... again soon. We ordered the mix and match and a fish sandwich. As I past Taco Bell, Wendy’s, McDonald’s on W Market, I thought there must be something better than fast food. I went to... Food Lion and sat in the car and I looked at the menu for The Captain’s Table. I decided to give it a try and I was not letdown in any way!! WOWZERS!! The fried catfish sandwich was delicious. Got it ATW…all the way, onions, pickles, tarter sauce!Yummy!! The seasoned fries were good too! You always need to try the fries! The lady behind the counter was very helpful andfriendly!!
