I had the pleasure of dining here this past Friday night, and it was an amazing experience! Our server, Brandon, went out of his... way to take care of us, recommending dishes, keeping our glasses filled, and checking in on how we felt about our food.Everything was fresh and delicious, and we will definitely be back! I recommend that more Greensborians try out this little gemof a spot. Footnote: the red lentils are otherwordly!! Read more

So last night my wife and I decided to go on a world tour via cuisine. We decided to travel to Ethiopia to experience their... culture via Taste of Ethiopia. Upon entry, the word that came to mind was 'Simplicity'. The atmosphere is very calming andrelaxing. There is minimal things in the restaurant to distract you from the authentic experience of the Ethiopian culture. Themenu gives a little history about coffee and that was amazing to me seeing as how I love coffee..lol. This was my first timetasting their spices however definitely not my first time eating with my hands. Being from the south, this is something we wereaccustomed to doing with greens and cornbread..lol. Never the less this is definitely an experience worth exploring for theadventurous at heart. When we walked in, no one was there to greet us. We waited and someone finally showed up and sat us down. We weren?t provided... menus but were told the waitress would be right with us. Five min later we get water. Still waiting and someone arrives askingif the waitress stopped by we said no and she tells us the waitress went home and she would be helping us. The owner comes totake our order after another long wait and then realizes we have no menus and gives it to us then leaves. The woman serving uswas also the cook. Our food was cold and the waitress told us it should be room temp. I understand the inerja being room tempbut everything was COLD. The food lacked salt and then the portions were not worth the 16$. The chicken breast was dry. The bestthing for us was the sambusa and the lentils although the lentils lacked salt as well. The waitress helping us was very upfrontand honest and we liked her but the whole experience was lackluster. When asked for two more orders of the sambusa we were givenone and told they were closing soon and would not be making more but sat another couple; they closed at 10 and it was 850 whenwe asked. This was my very first time trying Ethiopian food and I want to say it was a good experience, but need less to say it was not. I... was over charged for kids sizes portions of food. Paid $180 for a small amount of food. It took them forever to prepare whatappeared to be canned vegetables. The items that were prepared from scratch were actually pretty good, but the prices don't makesince for what they're offering. I'm highly disappointed with this establishment. The staff was very helpful and professional, but the service is a waste without a quality product. I do not recommend. Read more

Probably a great place for beginners. They do a good job of appealing to the American palette. The tastes are all familiar... tastes, but not from authentic dishes. But again it is Greensboro, so not bad at all for Greensboro. Read more
