Stopped in for lunch a few months ago after going to a Karate tournament at the arena. The food was awesome! It will be our go... to place to eat from now on when we are out in Greensboro. Their barbecue sauce is the best we have tasted and purchased abottle on our way out. Since then we have ordered the barbecue sauce twice online. Just wish they came in bigger bottles! :) Read more
We hit the drive thru for our first visit. Quick, friendly and easy to navigate through. We also had a lesson on the Family... sauces. Ordered the quarter chicken plate and sliced pork. Tasty pork bbq plates. Sweet tea is not too sweet at all. Save room for the peach cobbler with ice cream. A must stop from GSO,... 10 mins away from the airport! They still do it the old fashioned way, slow-cooking directly over wood. You can taste thedifference. Loved all the staff. Very nice staff. I suppose customer service is why they have good reviews. Maybe at some point in history the food was good. Not... now. I had the BBQ Chicken and chopped pork combo, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. The baked beans were okay but they were abit too sweet and a bit over cooked. The next best thing was the Mac and cheese and it was nothing to write home about. Thenoodles were over cooked in my opinion and you can get better from a grocery store box of Mac and cheese. Then was the pulledpork...I have nothing bad to say other than that it was edible but not memorable. The BBQ chicken. I can't remember having worseBBQ chicken. It tastes like they baked it (over-baked it at that) instead of putting it on a BBQ grill. For one thing, it wasdry (wing/breast quarter). Lastly, the BBQ sauce (seemed to be cheap store brand) was just poured on top of what seems like overbaked chicken. I'd be shocked if this is not the worst BBQ in North Carolina! Read more
