If this is the authentic Mexican food that everyone was talking about and preaching on the internet, then I?m very disappointed.... I came from Europe and I had hopes of trying some true Mexican food, however I was met with bland and unseasoned food with nodistinct flavour. I had burrito, tacos, guacamole and vegetarian dish with piña colada. Burrito was very basic and lackedMexican flavour but it filled me up nicely, the tacos lacked vegetable variety and guacamole was unseasoned so we had to squeezesome lemon juice on it (from our drinks). Pina colada was good tho, so thumbs up. Service was excellent and very friendly staffkept nice atmosphere. The place itself gave a nice urban Mexican vibe. Prices are standard American. The food here was okay. I got the taco salad, and it was very flavorful. The chicken is very strange, almost like it was cut... into tiny bits and pieces. The salsa and cheese dip was pretty good. We felt it was average and probably wont be back. Read more

Nice looking restaurant was first choice on my Google search so I went and ordered the Burrito Supreme with a side of beans and... sweet tea. The complimentary chips and salsa arrived and the salsa was too tame. The refrieds were watery and bland so it took alot of salt and pepper plus house hot sauce. The burritos were good, one of ground beef and the other was shredded chicken. Bothwere topped with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and a slice of tomato. The rice was beside the burritos and was good. Theoutstanding star of the show, and the only reason to get 4 stars instead of 3, was the hot sauce made there and brought to mytable in a squeeze bottle. My son and I stumbled upon this place. Wow. Great food. If you go so yourself a favor and get the stake and shrimp entree....... it's like $15 and was insanely good. The service to he honest was kind of weird. The server was great. The bus boy man wasstrange. The guy cleaning the tables wasn't wearing the blue shirt other workers were wearing and nice pants so at first I waswondering what he was doing. He had a bus bucket and was cleaning tables and just dumping the drinks into this bus tub and itwas disgusting and sloshing around. That was my only turn off, but he was a nice guy. The people next to him that were justseated asked to be moved closer to a door. I think it was because the bus boy guy was super loud just chucking dishes into thetubs. It was weird but I'm still giving five stars because I'm truly thinking it was an anomaly and we loved the salsa theygive with the chips. Great place. I love Monterrey?s. From their charlotte location, when I found out they had a location here in Greensboro?I had to take my... hubby there and the service was fast and efficient. Our waitress was so kind and helpful, she was amazing during our lunch date.We order a chicken quesadilla and side of rice with cheese on top. The quesadilla was toasted buttery good and the cheese meltedso nicely. My compliments to the chef and their sweet tea was on point. If you want something tasty for lunch or dinner, hit upMonterrey!
