I was in Greensboro visiting a friend and her family. They made reservations for us at Kau and I?m glad they did. The chophouse... is located at the Revolution Mill which is a repurposed industrial mill. I opted to sit on the patio and enjoy the scenery. Itried the watermelon martini which was the drink special of the day and the pulled pork Mac n cheese. Both were very good. As anappetizer we had the spinach dip which was also great. Although the dishes we ordered presented nice, they were just mediocre tasting. Atmosphere is rustic and open but their food is... ridiculously priced high for what it is. Staff was friendly but too casual and ungroomed. The one great thing was their pitachips. Sorry but you cannot charge 5 star prices for 3 star dinning . Read more

The two stars is only for the cocktails and the bacon appetizer. Our service was horrendous and the rest of the food was subpar.... It first started when I had made our reservation and made it know it was my husband?s birthday. When they called to confirm myreservation I again reiterated that it was my husband?s birthday and she stated, ?well you need to tell your server because wedon?t do that.? When I asked if a bottle of wine could already be at the table. Next issue was our server. Not sure if he wasnew or not but it was just bad. He was very softly spoken in a loud restaurant which was one of the first problems but ourorders kept coming our wrong. I and my friend both ordered the Maria Mule and we got two totally different drinks. We bothenjoyed the drink so we didn?t complain. We had to continually ask for refills on our drinks. My husband?s steak was supposed tocome with the bone marrow butter and it did not so we had to ask for that TWICE! I was supposed to have the loaded mashedpotatoes and I NEVER got that even though I asked three times and was charged for it. The butter came on the side so when I putit on my steak it didn?t even melt which meant my steak wasn?t even warm. Two of the steaks to the table were over done. Two ofthe steaks had large amounts of gristle throughout the meat which means it actually wasn?t very high quality. Just to makethings better I couldn?t even complain because our server NEVER came to check on us. We had to ask for our checks, we had to askfor boxes to go, and again drinks to go several times. We never got our drinks to go and two of the checks were wrong butagain?he was no where to be found. Just to make things better we had a party of 6 so our checks automatically had 20% gratuityon the bill, which I am okay with it the server is outstanding. This place has a very laid back atmosphere. Nice patio area that includes an outside bar as well. The restaurant is kid... friendly. The food is amazing and reasonably priced! The Philly Cheesesteak is definitely a hit!!! You can?t miss with that oneif you?re unsure of what to order. There was a bit of a wait time when I arrived, just due to short staffing. The servers were great! The soul rolls are worth getting again. The main course lacked flavor and was bland. It didn't... necessarily need salt but more flavor. I was expecting it to be a better tasting experience. I would try it again to see ifother menu items are better. Read more
This is by far a date night staple for my husband and I. The food and atmosphere are amazing! I looovve the Collard Green Dip... and I?ll probably never go without ordering it. We have made it a point to try different things on the menu and the are ALLdelicious. The cocktails are also really good and not watered down at all. We have brought our kids once and they equally thinkit?s delicious, but we will keep it as our place for now. I love Kau, and recommend it often and everyone who?s tried it thankme later. Read more
Let me start by saying that the restaurant is beautifully placed and it is a lovely place to dine. The inside of the restaurant... is gorgeous with a mix of old and new, love the steel and exposed beams. The food was incredibly tasty. The brisket mac andcheese was divine.
