Everytime I have been to lunch here has been a great experience! The food is always good, the owner and the waitress are great.... They remember our usual order! My experience at dinnertime was HORRIBLE!!! The 2 waitresses were too busy socializing with agroup of their friends to wait on us. Had to go to the front to get take out menus because they didn't bring us any after 15minutes. Had to go to the register and try to order drinks after waiting over 25 minutes which finally got a waitress to ourtable to order drinks. Finally ordered food. It was delivered cold and soggy after close to 45 minutes of being there. Superdisappointing considering we had all had positive experiences there in the past. Needless to say, they lost some faithfulcustomers that evening! So, my best advice - go when the owner is there! Read more

I see that folks have had some issues with this place in the past. This was a first visit and we were pleased. We ordered the... bento box with general tso chicken. Our food was plentiful and good. I thought prices were reasonable. The wait staff werevery nice too. I would definitely go back to Hoba based on my experience. Read more

I always get the chicken/rice bowl w/ white sauce & always good! My only comment would be customer service be better... (friendlier) and give more white sauce (w/out being charged) and the phone # that is on website always says "not in order". This is an update...Customer service still is horrible, the owner acts annoyed when you don't understand what she'ssaying...prices are hard to figure out...the board that had specials on it is gone and really there is no lunch special...12.99for a combination plate & $2 for a cup of white sauce...not a deal at all!!!! Needless to say I will find another hibachi placebc they are rude and expensive. Read more

I always go here for a hibachi bowl! The owners are very friendly and they make you feel at home. There's also a bar for late... nights with karaoke and television. I highly recommend for college students who are on a budget. P.S. The hibachi soup isAMAZING. Read more

I have given this place several opportunities to make things right, but have continuously been let down. At first they had great... red curry chicken then they changed the menu to cater to the bar and I tried to understand. When they get your order right itsactually good food, however this is not the general way it works out. I am very patient and understanding and yet still theyhave not earned my respect except for the food being tasty. I would order at your own risk. It seems to be hit or miss. Fyicheck your order before you leave!!! Bamboo grill gets the order right every time and they are across the parking lot and I givethem 5 stars for service and food. Read more

The chicken and rice hibachi bowl is awesome. The white sauce is fantastic. There attitude sucks. No smiles. No have a nice day.... No hey how are you. When you call they sound like it is a bother. If I didn't like the white sauce so much I wouldn't come back.I now order my food over the phone so I don't have to be in there long. I hope they see this and do something about it. Read more

I went in the first few weeks after they opened. The food is good & servers are very nice, but it is very over priced. I'm... willing to pay a good amount for a meal & the furthest from cheap, but there are other places in the area that give aconsiderable amount more for less money. The menu is a little confusing because they have everything from Chinese to Vietnameseto Japanese options. We had a little of all 3 in my 2 visits there and they were all just okay. Might be better if they stuck to1 or 2 cuisines. I'd go again, but not my first option for Hibachi, Chinese, or Vietnamese food. Read more

On a whim I stopped at Hibachi II on my lunch hour. I was greeted courteously and was seated quickly. The prices are a little... higher than anticipated, but that isn't always a deal breaker for me. Because I was in the mood for noodles, I ordered theChicken Soba. Though I would have liked more cabbage and onions, the dish was very tasty, and the portion size was generous. Most entrees are between $10 and $15, but there are options for lunch that are around $7 and $8. Read more
