They need to update their hours because we drove 30 mins and when we got there the doors were locked. I love the look and the... feel of this restaurant but Ive been here a few times now and every time there is always something thats not done right. Weordered the #44 which is mix platter. It was really good no doubt but then we took the quarter duck platter to go and all i cansay is that it wasnt worth eating. No taste and i had said 20 times make it spicy. They were not busy when i ordered this so idont know which part of spicy they didnt understand or forgot. Not happy with that at all. On top of all of that the duck wasstenchy and it had after taste. Everything else is good but i guess they should stop making duck. Read more

I love the food at this restaurant! I just saw that they had moved locations and decided to go with my husband for lunch. We... went to the new location during the hours they specified they were open, but the doors are locked and lights are all off. Theold location is for sure closed and, according to google, their opening hours were confirmed by phone 2 weeks ago. They reallyneed to update their listing to show they?re temporarily closed so people don?t go out of their way just to get to a closedrestaurant. Read more

Enjoyed the Egyptian cuisine but service was really slow. Tables were not cleaned out after customers.Requested for a take out... pack and it took forever before my husband decided to walk up to them and pick it.If you need a first hand history of Egypt, thenplease don't hesitate to visit. What an incredible experience! Thanks to Yelp, we stumbled upon this amazing place while we visited from out of town. Although... we were mostly unfamiliar with Egyptian and Mediterranean food, the amazing reviews reeled us in, and I'm so glad they did! Wehad the tahina with pita as an appetizer, then shared the big platter--whose name I forget--for dinner. It had chicken and beefshawarma, chicken and beef kebabs, and a beef kofta, all served over a bed of rice. My favorite was the chicken shawarma, buteverything was incredible, exploding with flavor and so tender. I also had a glass of hibiscus tea, which I really liked--nottoo sweet, and a pretty deep pink/purple color. The decor was lovely, very ornate but obviously Egyptian inspired. Lots ofcool photographs! Our service was good, but we were extremely impressed that Chef Samir himself came out to speak with us. Hewas warm, kind, and welcoming. It was so fun to get to speak with someone so passionate about their food and their culture! The highlight of the meal was the dessert. We splurged and got both rice pudding and baklava. The rice pudding was rich andcreamy and was topped with fresh coconut, honey, cinnamon, and pistachios. It was amazing. The baklava...oh my. The bestbaklava I have ever eaten, and one of the best desserts I've ever eaten, too. Unlike other baklava, which tends to flake outand stick to your gums, teeth, and the roof of your mouth, this baklava was made with springy, chewy, light phyllo dough, andstuffed to bursting with all sorts of deliciousness. I'll be dreaming of that baklava forever, and if I'm ever back in theneighborhood, rest assured I'll visit Chef Samir's! Read more
