Appeared to be very understaffed, or unprepared for a Friday night. Food took forever, and came out separately. One pizza was... very undercooked, one overcooked. They comped the undercooked pizza, so that was nice, but pizza was not eaten. The deep friedgreen beans were good. Service seems to be an issue with this restaurant, and the one in Oak Ridge. Best pizza, period! Specifically, the Pub Special, one of the few places that never changed there quality of ingredients, and... remains a staple of North Carolina. Salads are awesome as well, they never skimp on toppings, the drive is worth it everytime. Read more
This venture seemed doomed from my phone call to order, could hardly hear the order taker, I let them know that i was trying... their pizza for the first time and wanted to use the $3.00 off a medium pizza before 5pm but neither the original taker nor themanager knew about their own coupon and insisted it was $3.00 off a large so on we went. When I arrived and told the young girlpickup for Dino she looked for a couple of seconds and asked how I spelled it, it was a phone order and I spell it Dino, pleaseask the manager and he found it quickly. Got my pizza home, smelled good just like the pizza pub did,taste was just okay the boxand the paper inside the box was SOAKED with grease to the point it soaked thru the box, crust is almost non existent like apiece of cardboard...very disappointing Read more
My experience was not a good one. Drove 9 miles for this pizza. Took 20 minutes to see a server, finally got to order with No... mushrooms, had to wait 35 minutes for the pizza . Got the pizza and it looked so good, so good it could have killed me if I ateit. That's why we ordered No mushrooms cause I am deathly allergic to them. So how do you think my experience was? Always good and decadent. Thin crust, loaded with toppings. You can?t eat it all and because it?s so heavy with toppings it will... become soggy and stick to the box, so put wax paper under it before you store it for breakfast the next day. We get the pubspecial without green peppers and add jalapeños. We always get takeout because according to other reviews it?s less than fancy.Takeout is always spot on and super quick.
