Reviews for Asahi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar in Greensboro, NC
This place is excellent! Food was super delicious and the amount of food I was given was incredible. Edit: Went her again and... it was super good and excellent. The chef was really nice and had a overall good time just eating and watching the chef do histhing with the food. Read more
Beware if you are ordering from their menu online! We ordered sushi for pickup based on the menu on their website. When my... husband went to pick it up, it was well over $100. All the prices had increased by $3 or $4 for each roll. They refused togive my husband a discount or fix the prices, saying they had already told the company that does their website that it needsupdated. If they knew it was outdated, we should have been informed of that when we called and placed our order! My husband saidshe was very rude. This was our first time and last time ordering from Asahi. I was not a fan! The staff were nice, entertaining which is why the restaurant received any stars. I was not a fan of the... overcooked shrimp and lobster. The sushi was.... I'll leave that there. I appreciated they had an option to get lo mein insteadof rice. Read more
Enjoyed a wonderful Friday evening here with friend. Great authentic Japanese food and sake!
Still on top of their game food and service excellent, been going there 30 years.
I would have felt safer eating sushi from a gas station than this place. Most of the shrimp wasn't deveined and the sushi looked... as slimy as it tasted. The wait staff was awful and extremely pushy for us to order as quickly as possible. Both my husband andI got sever food poisoning. I highly suggest literally anywhere other than this place to eat. The seafood was really fresh and everything tasted really good. They give you a good sized cut of fish as well. The sashimi and... nigiri slices were thick and was a good size. The soft shell crab was delicious but the grilled squid was kind of lacking.Oftentimes they are busy, but the wait is not too long. Read more
Pretty alright food, decent experience with watching the food be cooked in front of my party and all, but it's not quite worth... the price. For an average of an extra $1-$6 more per plate you can have a much more exquisite dinner at a nearby hibachi placelike Kabuto, where you can literally taste the difference that higher quality ingredients provide and the ambiance is both moreelegant and entertaining. I would not recommend bringing business parties here, but for casual non-hibachi affairs this place isdefinitely OK. Read more
